So sorry for your profound loss. Growing older guarantees loss, it is true. I can see from my husband's experience that the loss of a sibling brings a unique pain. Hugs to you.

The theme is loss. I am so sorry for the void that you have with your brother s passing. Grandchildren are a boost of life. Glad he had that.

Diane, so sorry for your loss. May your brother rest in peace. Comfort and positive thoughts your way, as you feel the feels without brownies.

I am so sorry Diane. Even though it has been coming for a long time it is hard to lose him. I'm glad you were able to talk to him on the phone.

The raised bed has taken off. Cucumbers everywhere, tomatoes are still green but they are looking good. If only a quarter of the squash blooms produce we will have to give them away. Oddly the peas are growing very slowly.

Yard mowed. 2 air conditioners sold. Move 1 more to DS garage and I will have the beginnings of some room. Still need to sell a couple more items.

16 hour fast a couple of days ago went well. 16 hours yesterday. Another 14 hour fast today. Basically eating 1 meal a day. Scales down 2 but time will tell if it is real. Surgeon said for every 4 lbs weight loss is like 40 lbs to the knee joint.

Went to derm appointment today. One month after scalp treatment to head off skin cancers. Dr said I looked beautiful. She meant my scalp looked beautiful after the treatment. I thought I need you to follow me around and tell me that all day.

More later, David

Peas are a cold weather crop, so it's not surprising they are slow. Maybe plant some more in early spring and watch them take off! My tomatoes are still green too. Grrrr.

Peas (Edible pod- English peas too work intensive in shelling) are a spring crop in SEKansas. We stop cutting asparagus when they are ready- maybe early June. They love the sun, need some rain, but hate-HATE the heat. Small window of opportunity. Plant early. Our tomatoes suck this year! Butternut and acorn squash on a bumper crop rate.
