Hopefully the heat will break today. I, too, used to live on Diet Pepsi... morning, noon and night. I gave it up before VSG, and only have it rarely now. I drink a fair amount of Zero vitamin water, often cutting it with regular water.
I've been missing Shel's voice and "pop ins" the past few days. Wishing her peace and comfort. Ann, so glad you had the opportunity to meet her friend !

Thinking about Shel every day.
Another hot, muggy one here today. Assuming BIL comes as he said he would, I am leaving mid-morning to make the 3 hour round-trip to our old hometown. Hopefully digging a location for Chiquita's ashes won't be too difficult as the grave doesn't have much shade. Maybe I'll go under the flowerbed.
Have a winning Wednesday!

Good morning! This may be the best week of weather this summer. Blissful. Despite yesterday's indiscretions, the scale is down. Day to day fluctuations are data, what I'm really watching is the trend. I am seeing a small, and I do mean small, but clear downward trend since the beginning of June. I attribute that to trying to eat more whole foods, and re committing to tracking. Which also means re committing to measuring, because I can't track unless I do.
Not much planned today besides a trip to a farmer's market. I need some more books, any recommendations?
Liz, hope your brother in law showed up. Ocean Diane, do you do your foot mask at home or at a salon?
Thinking of Shel also. I hope our collective energy sends her some peace and comfort.

Good Mor...(er,rrr) Afternoon all,
Lovely, if a bit over warm, day in the heartland. Event of the moment is celebrating DH's birthday. Made a breakfast the poor dear doesn't see very often anymore- Homemade bread toast with my hm apple butter, fresh fruit and G yogurt, a cheese soufflé, sausage, 8-juice and coffee. Birthday presents in the morning, and have crowned him King for the day (which means he gets to choose how the day goes; ie his wish is my command). We've been out and about with friends and later I'll bake up some spectacular Uber deep dark chocolate brownies (the kind where one really is enough) and ice cream. Easy-breezy.
Life is good, in fact- it's all good. Smiles your way. -b
