I am sitting in a local breakfast place drinking coffee. I ordered eggs only (no cheese etc). I admit that I was intrigued by the idea of French Toast but I didn't order it (though I did take the small sample of blueberry bread). I had to clear out for the housekeeper.

Today DH is at daycare so I am going to a local town with SIL to poke around in shops. It's a beautiful, low humidity day.

I am annoyed with DS who is angry at me because his cat got out again yesterday (has returned). I'm supposed to take care of DH and watch that he doesn't let the cat sneak out in addition to the usual duties. Apparently I'm supposed to be superwoman...

Have a thoroughly good Thursday!

Hey all! Not much to report. Garden still looks good. My tomatoes are still green, but I have green beans growing and picked a few cucumbers this morning. I'm out of my sugar free coffee creamer so that made me crabby this morning as I accidentally bought the one with sugar. I don't need sugar!

My neighbor came over to look at the garden with her two little ones (2 and 6 months). Her first baby was so easy, she had a second and this one she says is going to be the death of her. She screams all the time. But still cute despite the screaming!

Off to find something for lunch then to the store for creamer.

Great breakfast choice, Liz! The french toast would have called to me too.

Enjoy your poking around in shops. I call the tourist type shops candle sniffing shops, because at one point I will inevitably hold up a candle to whomever I'm with and say, smell this one, it's so nice! I rarely buy one though, because no matter how lovely, I can't bring myself to spend more than$20.00 on a candle.

Low key day here, I slept very late (had a pretty fierce headache last night, so probably needed the sleep). I'm going grocery shopping in a little bit. Plans for this evening: watching the last episodes of Big Little Lies with DH. My level of anticipation is a little silly, but there it is. I started reading Women Rowing North, feeling inspired as my birthday is approaching soon.

Missing those who haven't posted for awhile and, as always, thinking about our dear Shel.

Good morning!

I have done absolutely nothing this morning! It's delightful! Actually, it just feels like nothing... but in reality, I was awakened at 8:00 by my BFF who is in crisis again. (How is it that we are in such a remote spot that there are no gas stations for miles and miles, but I have cell phone and internet connectivity????) No matter how much I urge I can not convince him to go to the doctor to have his meds adjusted. He is steadfast in his belief that there is nothing that can be done medically to help him. It's just how his brain works. It's hard looking in his mental state from the outside. Makes me so sad, because his anxiety is real and he hates it, yet he is obviously incapacitated by it and is unable to break the cycle. I wish I could somehow "fix it" for him, but I can't. Thank God, I know that now. For years I did try, but I learned it's way beyond anything of which I am capable of helping.

I have also made breakfast: a ham and cheese scramble, bacon and fresh peach and banana salad. Yum!

Waiting for Ron to finish his reading and then we will walk the dogs. That is the big item on the docket for today - take the dogs walking on the lake shore. Works for me.

The past days have been slipping by with such ease. Tonight is our last night camping. We head into Ashland tomorrow to visit friends and see As You Like It at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Then Saturday we head home. Sigh.... I've been so relaxed and removed from reality this week. It's really been delightful.

Pics of our current campsite taken last night at sunset. I'm sure I will have more from today to post later.

If you have to leave the woods, a Shakespeare Festival is a good reason. I live for good theater, it's what keeps me going during a cold Minnesota winter. Saw a hysterical production of As You Like It this past winter, hope the Oregon performance wows you!

I was in a university production of As You Like It my Jr year. I have a theater Arts degree... will be an awfully fun stroll down memory lane. Honestly, I wanted to see MacBeth, but it was sold out. I have never seen it done.

Greetings Maintenance Crusaders

No weight today. Getting to be yet another bad habit. But I ate reasonably (so far) and got a dog walk in. Could be worse.

Yay Peps for getting to go to the Ashland Shakespear festival. World famous. Must get up there some time. And yay for doing nothing.

While DH was at lunch I actually moved some of his junk into the garage. Not certain if he noticed. Tee Hee. He ate too much and came home feeling icky. No dinner here for quite awhile.

Liz little shops are so fun. Enjoy. Sorry you are blamed for the kitty wandering. Always something.

Listening to the Brene Brown book. Only five more hours. Seems like the point could be made more quickly but I am in.

Deck painter comes back tomorrow to finish the rail that couldn't be finished due to freshly cut redwood oozing. Cushions to be ordered from WayFair.

Got some Persian cucumbers - my favorite. Wish they kept longer.

Time for glass of wine. Diane S
