Beautiful picture. And the smoked pork sounds good.

Checking in from the dog show. All is well, but I am tired! I am doing far more than I should have in the way of client dogs. Oh, well... I am enjoying Goat and all she has to offer. I love how well the dogs have adjusted to the dog show life this weekend. Our little Irish Terrier friend is back today. He likes Goat and the set up, too! He is very much at home.

My girl Haley (a pup I bred and co own, but lives with my good friends Milt and Carol) is a single point away from her AKC championship. I am hoping she will finish her championship next weekend. Dottie is going to the handlers' to get ready for the nationals in October. I will miss her. She has blossomed so much since Liza went to a new home.

Good news from up north! Tesla has won several days in a row and now has 10 points of the 15 needed for her championship. I'm super happy for Diane S.! There is so much that goes into earning a championship and there are so few shows in Diane's immediate area - or even within a back and forth in a day drive distance for that matter - that it's been a real labor of love to keep Tesla in condition! Kudos to Diane S and Tesla!

I LOVE HAVING MY OWN FOOD AT THE DOG SHOW!!!!! You know what I ate for lunch? Fresh strawberries sliced up and mixed with fresh raspberries on top of NF Greek Yogurt sweetened with Splenda. Beats a hot dog any day of the week in my book.

Well, the Irish needs to be readied for the ring, so duty calls!

Good Morning All - Back in the city after a tiring weekend. Not workwise - we barely did anything at the farm. Ran a lower wire to stop the calves getting into the neighbours and I unloaded 50 heavy link wall bricks and set up Hay feeder for cows. Weather was just freezing. We had hail, sleet. Neighbouring towns got snow. DH went for a drive with DSS up to the snow Saturday afternoon. They had a great time. I stayed home and cooked with SIL as we had a family dinner Sat night. As always there was a LOT of food but it was delicious. Sun was family breakfast then back to farm to work it all off.

I havent weighed this morning - will tommorrow. Im putting my head in the sand after the weekends food feast

Plans for today are work then I have an appointment after work then hoping to be back to go to DH doctors visit. He is working from home today so he can get a Ultrasound. DS got home from his trip with his Dad last night so we are a full house.

Will make time to go back and read everyones posts :)

Love to you all

Shirley

Rain last night and more in the forecast. The awning was full this morning so we will roll it up and dry it out after the rain is over.

The concrete turned out fine. It was such a small amount but seems like it takes the same amount of work as a big pour. Wrecked the forms off of the concrete pads and back filled with dirt. Me and Adalyn got buckets of dirt in the tractor. I think she would ride that thing all day. Also building up the wall inside to hang the inside ac unit.

The plants in the raised beds are doing well. Small green tomatoes already. I'm letting all of the running plants run to the top. It gives them a place to grow and shades the other plants at the same time.

Glad all the dog shows are going well.

Ann, bad time for mowers to be down. It is growing between rain showers.

More later, David
