Did they at least give you the good drugs? When they hit the plunger and whatever the hell they put in the iv hit me, I was pretty sure I saw God.

I had the most glorious and refreshing walk this very early, cool and refreshingly dim morning. A trip across the country beginning on the eastern coast, down through the Deep South , then over to Arkansas, and Missouri before making a quick jog up Minnesota way. After a quick pit stop home, I dropped by Oklahoma (Stephanie Plumb- aren't you somewhere in this general area???-) and then straight across to California, Oregon and Washington State. A quick drop by Australia and now home again. Everyone of you had me smiling with the simple presence of self. Have you yet found the well wishes and promise for a good day left you (look under the doormat).?

Today I succeeded in fully navigating the alphabet soup called Medicare and all its attendant supplemental plans. Whew, so glad to complete that chore. It is very easy to see that now is the time to re-retire. It feels right and I'm absolutely at peace (and relieved) that the waffling is over- the matter set down; the desk top cleared. I simply wait for official confirmation of insurance, compose and post my letter of resignation and- done.

Good book in hand...I'm off...(wouldn't be surprised if a nap is in the near future).

Tomorrow is my maiden voyage with Large Marge! (Think Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure...) I'm kind of excited, but a little nervous, too. I'm not sure why. It will be way easier than the trailer.

I went to the pet store this morning after the gym to do some prep for our "camping" trip with Large Marge. (By the way, Large Marge may get a new name once we have lived together a while, but I do s****** a bit when I call the motor home Large Marge. It's so tongue in cheek and true camp! Here's a link to a clip from the movie: Large Marge clip. But, I digress.....

Picked up new martingale collars for all the dogs going camping with us, new tags with my cell number and an alternate number for my BFF if we happen to be in a no service area; tie downs for each dog and a line we can use as a base for the tie downs (if needed). I want to be prepared... I would simply die if one of my guys got lost... I also bought exercise pens to stretch across the bottom of the RV in case I want to make a yard for the dogs. I already have the tall size they don't jump over.

I mentioned how much love Goat. I clipped a pic of Goat. His likeness is going camping with us. He is going to be framed and put up in the RV to honor the adventurous spirit of our friend. And frankly, if it wasn't for her pics of the Cascade Range I don't think I'd be doing this upcoming trip. I am happy to make copies for any one who would like a picture of Goat. Just shoot me an email or a PM with your addy so I can send it. Here is the pic:

Remember the days when we posted NSVs? Well, here's one: I did inside forced form (much harder) bench presses on Tuesday at 270 lbs - isolated weight of 135 for each arm and pec! I sometimes have trouble wrapping my brain around what I can really manage physically. No way would I have thought even 2 years ago that I would be able to bench press that weight!

I bought a necklace! WTF??? So hippie Dippy, too. It's a Tiger's eye stone. My chiropractor's ex wife (who still runs the business with the chiropractor) is into crystals and healing energy. On her last trip to Mexico she ordered a number of jewelry pieces to be shipped here from an artist who is also into healing energies and Earth properties. I saw the Tiger Eye stone and it called to me. I looked it up and immediately knew why I was drawn to it. Here is the first paragraph from the energy muse.com site:

Known as "The Shapeshifter," this stone of courage and motivation will help you be successful at everything you do. When you channel the energy of Tiger's Eye, you'll be able to connect with the ultimate power crystal of the mineral kingdom. Often, fear can pose a challenge to our success It can trap you in your place, and take control over your life The Tiger's Eye crystal helps to transform those toxic feelings into courage and self-confidence. It helps you shift your perspective so you can see the way forward, even in times of fear. If you start doubting yourself, draw on the powerful and stabilizing energy of the Tiger's Eye crystal meaning by programming it with an intention involving passion, courage, and determination. Then, hold it in your hand and imagine its pure light flowing through your solar plexus chakra.

Doesn't this sound a lot like my journey - "...fear can pose a challenge to our success. It can trap you in your place, and take control over your life..."? I think perhaps this is why I was so drawn to the piece.

Off to groom a Wire Fox Terrier and then do some more loading of Marge.

Thanks for the Large Marge link, Devon. I would never have made that connection. Parfait!

Yea, Goat! And yea, your choice of the Tiger Eye. It's definitely speaking to you.

LOL on Large Marge clip! And a shapeshifter with self-confidence sounds like just the right stone.
