I suppose it is improvement to be in full peal mode and millipede season is winding down. Are we sure this isn?t the final wrath of the rooster?

I never thought about being hexed by psycho rooster.
Adalyn can get in the cart by herself. Sometimes she gets her feet through the handle. She gets stuck and needs help getting turned around. She fell a couple of times getting out and prefers help with that now.

A night cap for the 8th!
Hi all!
David, we are lucky to know you. Your overflow of love for Adalyn brightens my day - every single time you write about her! Your life history documents what a kind and loving man you are.
I spent time wondering about Goat today. I wonder how Goat is doing. Is he perhaps a father this year? Is he still alone on the mountain or has he found his people? I love Goat.
Last night I CRUSHED my phone to death! It was in my bag (purse, man bag, whatever...). The bag got stuck behind the foot rest of the reclining movie seat. The bag and phone were crushed against the metal frame of the recliner. It was a silent and quick death. Luckily, phone was insured and I paid the deductible with Apple and got a new phone. In and out of the Apple store in 20 minutes or so. Still had to go to Sprint to get the phone activated. I'm finally back in business.... Such a pain in the azz... I realized, too, that I have become reliant on my phone for many things: on the go phone calls, checking in with Ron, keeping my daily calendar and obligations, and I don't know too many phone numbers anymore because I never "dial" them. That little device holds a lot of my daily life, in a sense. Not sure how okay I am with that.
Today's activities: Took new car to have the scratch in the paint rubbed out (dealership footed the bill), got the new phone, met Ron for lunch and a walk around the shopping plaza (story there, too), off to Shrink for bimonthly session, then to Sprint. Was gone for 9 hours. It was like a work day. What's up with that? LOL!
The after lunch story: We are walking along the shopping plaza and are solicited by a charming French Israeli woman in her early 20s. She is peddling hoity toity and EXPENSIVE skin care products. I thought to myself, oh this girl sees two middle aged (old) gay guys and is going to make a sale. She's going to appeal to our vanity. Ron was having a blast because the product really did what the woman claimed it would and he liked what he was seeing in the mirror. I enjoyed her sales push and loved watching her try to figure out how to make the sale. We are not easy and I know about skin care basics and was open about having had my eyes done, which was a bit alarming for her. LOL! Anyhow, the upshot.... I am going to be the recipient of a complimentary facial and jowl treatment tomorrow at the company's professional salon (which is in a different town) and 75% off the original pricing of her "deal". The product is good, so once the price was reasonable I got a tube for me and a tube for Ron. I loved treating Ron to a little luxury item like that. It's not in his nature to splurge on self care types of items (except mouthwash and shaving cream)! I am sure in six months I will look 23 again! hahahahaha!
Thanks for your kind words.
My 88 yr old mom was complaining about her phone bill. Some lady where she lives has a new phone and her bill is cheap. I told her oh we can get a cheaper phone. But it will not be an iPhone. She is almost blind and uses Siri often. She started backing up quickly. Her bill wasn't that high after all. We are all hooked on our devices.
