The top of my head is in full peal mode. I made some special sauce to put on it. Apricot oil, bees wax, lavender oil and aloe gel. It stays on well because of the bees wax. It would also make a good diaper rash ointment.
It seems the millipede season is slowing down. The vacuum does a better job than stepping on them. i will be glad when it is done.
Yesterday DW and DD went to nearby town for dog grooming. Pop was with Adalyn. I will take that deal every time. We often say thank you when we give her something hoping it will encourage her to say thank you when she can talk. She does not say thank you but she kinda sings the tones of our thank you. The is a song on Baby Bum that has 5 speckled frogs. She has heard it all of her little life. She tries to sing it. She is on key but the words of course are not clear. When psycho rooster was still with us she would start crowing a quarter of a mile from the house. She has started carrying a baby doll. She has been resistant to displays of affection since she was born. Except for the dogs. She hugs them dirt and all. She came up to me yesterday while I was fixing her lunch and hugged my leg. I scooped her up and hugged her. She did not like the hug but she likes to be held so she can see me cook. I make iPad holders that you can lay under and watch hands free. She will crawl under there with me and start try to change it to baby bum. She has fast little fingers.
I love you all. And so lucky to know you.
David

Today sunny, low humidity, perfect day to paint the porch. Waiting for my porch painting partner, he has a phone I interview this morning, so painting commences after.
Husband has 6 days off coming up soon. We are debating whether we should take a quick trip. Surprisingly, I'm campaigning for a staycation. We are leaving August 13 for what will surely be a jam packed 10 days in Ireland, and then it will time to go back to school. Stay tuned.

Great beginning to a great day- out and about for walkies this early morning. You were with me on that walk, Shel. It was a lovely time well spent.
Not as early as I would have liked it, (5:00) but spent an hour deciding if I was going to walk or not- covering all contingencies- best practices, etc....didn't get out of bed till 6:00. Hell, the process of making choices can be highly time consuming as well as off-tracking. I decided on my walk that walking is from here on out a Default decision--now falls into the same category as brushing teeth. Decision pre-made- easy breezy.
This week I've set aside in order to finalize Med-igap and RX policy sign up. Got to do it....The more I look into it, the more there is to look into. Big stickler has to do with whether or if I return to work this fall or re-retire. Another decision.
The remains of the day= slow it way down, read, play, enjoy. May you all realize your heart's desire. It's all good.

I love your Adalyn stories, David!
I dragged myself out for a walk this morning and did 4 miles including the only incline near me. Unfortunately my left foot plantar fasciitis is not as happy with 4 miles as I was. Ow.
My dad and his wife were thrilled with the whacked shrub and as thanks cleaned up and hauled all the branches to the back of the property. I love that kind of trade off as I enjoy making messes a hundred times more than cleaning them up!
Not much else to report. I napped in the zero gravity chair outside. I have yet to sit in this thing without zonking out it's so comfortable. I can highly recommend them. Made by Lafuma.
I bought one of the zero gravity chairs like that years ago. I sleep most of the night in one made by backsaver. I was about #300 at the time. It was comfortable for about 15 minutes. I broke it. A plastic hinge shot across the room like a bullet. I was truly embarrassed.

Good Morning All - Just back from yearly fasting bloods - see surgeon for 2 year checkup on Thursday
Hoping for a quieter day - apt after work then home. DH has to cut down his fats & sugars - so I have a challenge ahead of me. On a positive note he was given a medication to try for restless legs. We go back in a fortnight to discuss the snoring. Wish me luck
Mum visited yesterday and brought me gorgeous orchids she found growing in a pot in her yard - one of my most favourite flowers - wanted to share with you all - Love and light - virtual flowers x
David - love hearing about Adalyn :) We are lucky to know you too x
I best get my butt into gear as I have barely achieved anything this morning
Have a great day all
Shirley
Greetings Fine People
159 today thanks to giant poop. I know TMI. Oh well.
Spent the day fiddling about - two trips to bank, pharmacy for supplies for upcoming dog show trip, purchased some more clay, helped out a friend in need. More shrimp tonight. I can't believe I am getting sick of it cold with ****tail sauce. Think I will so lime butter.
So Tesla ended up with a grand total of one point in three shows. I know her grooming isn't ideal but I just can't do it. Breeder helps me but the best is what you do yourself.
Dave I imagine you with a reptile head! Glad you have a good salve. It will pass. And so glad Adalyn has family that understands her and doesn't try to force her into some norms. She will indeed be a fearless leader some day. And once she starts talking she will never be quiet! Our nephews wife produces some wonderful kids music. Look up the Freckles Project. Its darling.
Lovely day here. A touch of fog but not oppressive.
Gallery duty tomorrow then early departure Wed. for Oregon. No doubt adventures to report.
Take care all. Diane S
