Fun yesterday, was a bit of cheeky fun! I announced that I was eating dinner outside on the patio. His guilt (his word, not mine) forced Ron to turn off the tv and come and sit with me outside. OMG! we actually conversed during dinner. Little things like that make me happy!
I am back down 2 pounds, but would like to get the other 2 or 3 off that I had managed to get off before the end of June.
I, too was remembering Goat the other day. I love Goat! I will have to find a picture of Goat and send it to Printicular! (such a great service!!!) I got a 5X7 of the selfie of Ron and me in Truckee form Printicular for $3! And it's a simple 1 hour service. Send it in and pick it up at the Walgreen's of choice! (I bet CVS or Rite Aid has the same type of app.)
I have today absolutely FREE to do as I wish. So, I have indulged in a second cup of coffee and am going to play in the garden a bit, make a Costco run, and see if Ron will go to a movie tonight. Looking forward to a relaxed and very comfortable day!
I read through all the posts from yesterday late last night. I am touched by our collective spirit that rallies around and envelopes our comrade with protection, strength, and love. In the end that is what matters.
My BFF battles with depression. He is currently dealing with a major depressive episode. He is grateful for my support, but I could tell by his words this morning he considered my support a burden that I had to bear. My gut immediately responded with this: Friendship and strong relationships are not always about fun. Sometimes we have to put in a little extra effort to keep things on track. That?s just part of the package.
I am feeling pretty today. I am feeling that I no longer need to judge my life by the number on the scale or the size of my clothes or my reflection in the mirror. I know, too, that that feeling may change tomorrow or this afternoon, but right now I am grateful: grateful for the guidance, acceptance, tolerance, understanding, and compassion I have found here with you all.
Have a super Sunday, peeps!
EDIT to add: I can't remember if I told you all that I booked my bucket list Rhine River Cruise!!!! I'm very excited. June 2020.... countdown has started!
I love that you are feeling good about yourself. You deserve it!

Hi everybody!
Quick catch up - I skipped the 4th party I didn't want to go to and had a nice time on my own without having to be nice to not nice people or having to small talk to people I don't know. I watched fabulous fireworks from inside the house. The party also apparently had a ton of biting flies, so again, good choice, me!
Today we had an early boat ride and will finish the day on a different boat. Guess where my dad and his wife and her sister are now? On the sailboat. Too much boating for my taste! So I hung back on land and trimmed an unruly plant full of dead branches. I underestimated the mess it would make and now have a pile that's maybe 4 ft by 20ft. Oops. Wish I had a chipper. Not sure what to do with it all. Maybe my dad will have a suggestion.
Shel, I love you, your posts, your fabulous sense of humor, your love of nature, your adventurous spirit, your snark that alway**** me right In the funny bone, your honesty... I could go on and on. It's just so f-ing wrong.
And just because, here's Ferg enjoying S'more night:
Yes Shel, you have been heart and soul here. You have touched all of us deeply and educated us in so many ways spiritually and factually. You will not be forgotten.

Greetings Special People
20 years ago who'd a thunk such a special warm bunch of people could develop deep friendships by means of an electronic device when the subject of said group was "what not to eat". Who knew the internet could be so warm and fuzzy. I cherish each and every one of you.
So today Tesla lost at the dog show. She showed well but her completion showed well too after being a dead head yesterday. All a crap shoot Tesla grows all this shaggy hair on her neck and I need to work on it but its hard. Peps I so wish I could hire you. You are a master. But we had a good time. That is, until it was time to pack up and go. DH brought this huge shiny blue hand truck with big tires (I didn't know we had it) to use to help carry the dog crate and chairs. Mind you we have several other carts better suited to carrying dog stuff but he wanted to play with this toy. It barely fit in the car. They unlocked a gate at the back of the building and we would have had to carry stuff about 100 feet if we pulled the car around. But NOOOOOOOOOOO, Mr. Tool Time would have none of that. Our friends were packed and out of there in 5 minutes while DH was packing stuff on this totally unsuitable hand truck with a zillion bungies etc. Then he didn't get 50 feet with it without stuff falling off so I had to carry it. People were calling out "Sir, your stuff fell off!" He was clueless. He then insisted on rolling this thing all the way across the parking lot which is unpaved uneven turf and spent forever packing the car. I was wishing for a valium. Meanwhile Tesla took a huge poop in an inconvenient place and I had to run around to clean up after her. DH likes the dog shows and came to help carry things but It was so ridiculous we are never doing that again!!! Next week off to Oregon shows with Tesla's breeder who is efficient and organized. Connie B asked me if I was Devons friend.
Chicken dinner last night. I ate too much chicken but it was good. Shrimp tonight.
Shel I am thinking about Mr. Stink eye goat stalking you. And about our nice coffee day at Cafe Brio. Hope you have plenty of Seattle's finest coffee to go with your cake and plenty of dog and people hugs.
Peps, don't you love it when you have nothing you HAVE to do. I have managed to make my life that way. And hey I want a Rhine cruise too. Also a France one. We shall see.
My brother and his wife are both in bad shape. I am not sure they will ever be able to leave the care center but at least the place has a variety of care levels.
Off to take pictures to post later. Diane S
Yeah, I bugged Connie Friday and yesterday about how Tesla did. I said Tesla belonged to a friend of mine. Connie knows Ardith, but I wasn't sure if she knew you, so I didn't mention you by name. Told her you had a puppy from Ardith.
I was happy Tesla won yesterday. Which ***** went winners today, the bred by?
I'm going to the Portland shows the weekend of 19, 20, 21. Are those the Oregon shows to which you are going, too? The Stumptown cluster???? I hope so!
The shows we are going to are in Bandon Oregon - Coos Bay KC. Nice little outdoors shows in a pretty spot. And a nice mom and pop motel. No more Motel 666.
The ***** that one was Luna owned by Ardith. Connie had a class ***** that finished the first day and was moved up. So just Luna and Tesla today for WB. Luna had a little gouge in her face from some unknown activity but she showed well - usually drags like a zombie. Ardith showed Tesla for me. So there it is.
No clue on show plans after this. At least in Bandon we have mid day show times. Diane S
