Yes, it is hard to think about moving forward and finding normalcy when a strong, fearless warrior in our tribe is battling. I've gone back to reread private messages and poured through this special lady's photos... from the stink eye goat, to the crevasse ladder bridges, the crazy hats (the REI finds), to the graduation preparations, the amazing training hikes on beautiful but challenging trails, finding miracles in broad daylight that most people would miss... Shel IS a celebration of life. She has consistently taken the time to reach out to us as a group and as individuals to share information, insight, research... genuinely make a connection. Shel WILL be with me in Vancouver, not as planned but she'll be there. When I look for the extraordinary in the ordinary, I'm honoring Shel. When I push beyond preconceived limits, Shel created the path. When I make time for fun every day, it is at Shel's suggestion. We're with you, Shel !! Love and light !

VSG led me here. Shel kept me here because she said I belong even while miserably failing at maintenance. Shell inspires me to try. Her mountain climbing spirit pushes me to try harder.

Fun, fun, fun yesterday in being and enjoying DS#1 and DH till they took off for the soccer game, overlapped by extended time with DS#2 and hummus, clouds, and awareness of everything good I've been gifted. Feeling contentment and peace in the world.....

I see you, Shel.

Has anybody heard from Cecily? It's been a couple of days since she posted, and I don't remember her saying anything about being away...
