For DH's restless legs, try upping his iron. Latest and greatest info points to an iron deficiency as the main cause of RLS. My teaching partner has it, but only becomes anemic during pregnancy and the RLS flares up dramatically. Her little one was diagnosed with it at 3 years old. They put him on a high iron chewable vitamin for kids and after the iron built back up in his system he became a good sleeper again! The RLS calmed down and went into hiding.

Oh thanks for that Peps :) I will mention it to him and get him to discuss with his Doctor but not sure if he can take the higher doses of Iron due to possible constipation (due to previous bowel issues)

Glad it worked for your DH :) And Teaching partners son :)

I prefer a herbal route than more pills as he takes enough of those already. Im thankful I dont need to take any prescribed medication as yet ....

Might give this a try. Floradix It is a little pricey. I did not mind the taste. DW did not care for it.

If I remember right restless leg can be a symptom of apnea.

Greetings Merry Makers

No weight today. Up at the crack of dawn to go to dog shows. Tesla got reserve but the girl that one will be moved up tomorrow so Tesla has a shot. Tesla was not at her best as we had to give her chill pill last night as she was terrified of fireworks. There will probably be more explosions tonight.

Dog show was fun and chilly. DH locked the keys in the car. He has done that several times lately - the beeper that tells you not to do that is no longer working. So we had to have AAA come. I will make fun of him for it forever. Fortunately it only took a half hour. Small dog show at a small town fairgrounds.

I have not eaten a lot today. DH brought home a large part of a reuben sandwich from his lunch out so that's probably dinner. After the dog/car event I had to go get payroll for studio (I sign checks) and get it distributed. So much running around I am tired and want a nap.

Glad you all seem to be having good days. Diane S

Late posting this evening, but want to get back in the swing and practice of it. Good to hear from you all.

Kurt gets credit for establishing a more mindful approach to my day; I woke up fully intending to be slothful and snack on whatever all day long (the old selftalk -total lie that just one more day of...and I'll begin fresh tomorrow). Before I could begin the noshing, he suggested a walk, so that's what we did. One day without piecing and snacking down, and hopefully will continue making better choices that are more in line with the person I say I want to be.

I began logging my food again. My issue often times is portion awareness. If I say I had some peanuts, well, that could mean a collective cup or more of them spaced out over the day.

Tomorrow begins posting in the Daily Eats thread. Sometimes I don't begin something because I tell myself I will fail in keeping it up- thereby failing from the git-go.

Nighty night sweet souls-

I have to say that posting in the daily eats has humbled me, but not in a bad way, in a more self aware way. I'm glad I'm taking part in it, and can feel myself learning some truths I need to examine.
