I remember these pictures Shel! They give me chills. How lovely!
Family pictures are a great idea. There can't be too many of them. Enjoy your family time and keep making as many memories with them as you can.

Greetings Independence Celebrators
159 today. Lets all celebrate our freedom from the miseries of morbid obesity as well as our nation's independence. Its also our nephew's birthday. I told him I heard there was a parade for him!
Bonnie good to have you back. Love your pictures! great looking bunch and beautiful cypress?? Any gators in there? Glad you had a good trip. You look radiant!.
And good to hear from you Shel. Thanks for sharing the magic photos. They most certainly mean something special.
Not much planned here. Yesterday was the party (read yesterday's spit up reports) so back to better habits today. I am so glad sleeve is still working. It was a surprise and occurred about a half hour after I had stopped eating and all of a sudden "uh oh". So today I will take some of my slug creations up to the Fresh Fudge gallery then off to the studio to goof around. The fog is back and it is so refreshing. Anyone ever read "The Stranger" in french class. When its hot and sunny it reminds me of that book and the intense sun and heat described in it. No wonder crimes go up in hot weather. Drives people crazy - at least me but its a short trip.
Cecily love the caterpillars. There is an artist at our gallery who is really into the monarchs and was offering milkweed seeds to encourage them. Where I grew up we were on the edge of town near country roads with ditches full of milk weed. And there were tons of monarchs. Now there are none around there as the subdivisions have spread. Our local botanical garden has a little butterfly house you can walk through. And I went through a huge one in Mexico. Butterflies rule and there is a reason they are called "Monarchs".
Well, time to eat a modest amount of food and prepare for the day.
Hugs all. Diane S
The Stranger---Camus! High school required reading in the way back. I hadn't thought of that book since, well, since when I had to read it ...recollect dismal loneliness - otherwise I understood about as much of the English translation as I would have in French...Full disclosure...I do not speak, nor can I read one syllable of French outside of crepes, Channel, and oui-oui, Eau de cologne, and Pepe La Pue.
Down a half pound to 263.3. I sure did like the 261s a bit more, but I am pleased that I am continuing on my relaxed approach to change.
How wonderful to have a post from both Bonnie150 and Shel today! Seeing those posts, as I like to say, made my heart sing.
I am feeling the effects of Tuesday's and Wednesday's workouts! It is not a painful sore, but a "Yup, you worked those muscled groups hard" acknowledgement. I call it the Good Sore. This morning I noticed my oblique was asking to be unveiled. My muscles are being so patient with me. I really need to honor their hard work and let them come down center stage in front of the drawn curtain and take a bow!
We got home very late from the game and fireworks last night. I didn't get to bed until 2:00 am, so for the first time in many, many years I bowed out and did not go to the pancake breakfast with my brother and dad. My brother texted me to let me know he even ate pancakes. He, too, suffers from weight issues and is MO. He started on a modified KETO program about 18 months ago and has lost 40 or so pounds, so eating pancakes is a big deal for him. He still lacks portion or calorie control so his weight has sort of stabilized where it is and he hasn't lost much, if anything, for about a year.
People will come here around 5:30 for dinner. Simple fare: burgers, sausages, chicken breast with salad, watermelon, and left over chips from the dog party. I'm not doing anything special for dessert. If anyone wants anything they can have ice cream and strawberries. And we have a little bit of pound cake still in the fridge we can pull out, too.
Happy 4th to everyone!
