Congratulations to all of you! Your husband finished the degree, but the whole family plays a part in helping the graduate get there.

Congrats to your DH! I think the degrees one earns as an adult while having to take care of all the adult responsibilities makes it so much sweeter than earning one as a kid and having no other responsibilities but that. Hope your sore throat heals quickly!

Today was hazardous waste cleanup with DH, beach (gorgeous), hydrangea purchase (3 for the front where old bushes were pulled out), and start of screen porch cleanup. So productive but good time too.

DS did some more hazardous waste cleanup tonight. One of the places I toured last week felt right and the timing may have to be soon. So torn...

And worried about some we haven't heard from.

Love you guys!

I'm feeling so blessed right now. My son was so helpful today helping me clean, and moved furniture around, lifted other heavy things, unjammed the vacuum cleaner, did some other legwork... the house looks better than it has in months. He's going away for the weekend, but next week he's going to help me paint the porch and trim in the front of the house. Hopefully he finds his first professional job soon (packaging engineering, he's had a few interviews), but until then, I am loving the help.

Greetings All

All sorts of good information and thoughts here today. Glad everyone has fun plans (including Cecily's escape from the mosquitoes). We went to friends for a holiday dinner even though tomorrow is the holiday. Had a great time except I did something I have not done in 9 years: overate and had to sneak away to the bathroom and spit up!!!!! I had forgotten how miserable that is. One bite too many of some fabulous gelato. Fortunately I was discrete and not detected. DH came home and proceeded to do the same thing.. It really sneaked up on me. I feel totally fine now but DH is still suffering. Good to know that sleeve is still on patrol even though I sneak some stuff past it. Entirely too much of the chips and dip thing. I will take all the remains to the studio tomorrow and get rid.

I had what seemed like lots to do today - painter here finishing up, making food, organizing stuff - and I forgot to get studio payroll and feel like a dope.

Congrats to DH of Shirley for finishing degree. Good deal. So many accomplished people here to whom I wish success and joy.

Fireworks are going off and poor Tesla is so scared. Tomorrow I will have to give her a chill pill from the vet.

Tomorrow is lots of running around and getting ready for 3 days of dog shows near here. We have to show early so I won't have to stay all day ( unless we go Best of Breed which is highly unlikely for a not yet champion).

Shel my backyard redwood is sending you good vibes. I planted it when it was one foot tall and now its probably 30 feet in 15 years. Amazing.

Not much else. Woe to tomorrow when I have to report today's eats. Diane S
