Cici? glad Fergs is feeling better ! Diane, can?t wait to see pictures of the deck ! Shirl..I have to keep remembering that you are moving into winter, when you talk about hearty meals and fireplaces. Dave, glad the baby is better. I hope your planned shedding goes smoothly. Liz, I hope SDS has a good visit with Paul. Peps, good luck with the final push for cleaning out DMIL?s stuff. DD, glad DH wasn?t trapped out on the boat ! Shel, loved the pictures you posted. BB, hope Becca feels better ! I can still feel your daycare pain !

Our FROG rally was fun, although all of the intense socialization with strangers overwhelmed DC a bit. Gettysburg was so historically interesting ! Still bullet and cannon holes in many of the buildings. I hadn?t remembered the fishhook v. U formation debacle that gave the Union army such an advantage. Friday morning there was a continental breakfast speaker on an Airmed service. Peps, your Mexico story and our rural hospital prompted us to sign up ! They provide return of bodies from out of country, return of dogs, vehicles, RVs in the event of a medical emergency, medical air transport to hospital of choice and we don?t have to be traveling with RV to use the service. There is a 90 day waiting period for Chuck due to his pacemaker/defibrillator pre-existing condition, but after that, he?s good . The RV was problem free !! Mowing and gardening are on tap here ! Yard and plants grew like crazy.

I'm so glad your weekend was fun! We went to Gettysburg twice, the first time for our anniversary (20 maybe?). DH loved history so it really was a gift to him but I ended up enjoying it as well.

Last night's dinner with friends went well and I avoided drowning the car in the flash flood puddles. DH knew that he should know them but really didn't know who they were. It was fun nonetheless.

This morning I am off early with SIL for an appointment with the oncologist in Boston. Hopefully it is good news and no surprises. DS is staying with DH.

Have a mainly good Monday!

Good morning! So Ferg's pill delivery times (5) increased by 2 to 7 with his pancreatitis as one new temporary med has to be given 30 minutes before other meds and food. So that's 3 med deliveries in the am within 2 hours. I was so tired this morning I did it on autopilot, then had a panic later this morning that I gave him one twice. Could not remember for the life of me. Pretty sure now I didn't, and he'd be showing signs by now that I did, but it's all so much to keep track of! He does seem back to his old self (post heart disease) so I'm relieved.

My dad is having cataract surgery today and apparently they want someone to watch him all day so that's me this aftenoon, I need to check on the garden, and go get some turkey for sandwiches as I ran out. Exciting day!

I forgot that the last few summers I've gotten an itchy ugly sun rash from too much exposure. So that was a bummer reminder yesterday when it cropped up. Long pants today.

And eatingwise, I need to be better. Really a lot better. I weighed this morning and was not pleased. Hope all of you are doing better than me in that department!

Eating has been pretty good the last couple of days.

Adalyn is feeling much better. She cut another tooth. Another one soon.

It was 92 here yesterday. And high humidity. The shop window air conditioner is freezing up. It is only 3 years old. I will try cleaning out the condensation fins. It might just be sawdust and cat hair. Really didn't want to buy an ac unit right now. It is cooling for the moment. Got to get on the road for my dermatology appointment.

More later, David

I've never been to Gettysburg, but it is on my list of places to visit on a road trip. Great to hear all the bugs seem to have shaken out of the RV. Hitting the open road is one of my favorite things, I hope there's an RV in my future.

Cecily, I would have a terrible time resisting baked goods that are hanging around. I do best when I have complete control of what food is in the house. Normally, I don't even have bread, but since our son is living here, I bought some. Hence the increase of sandwiches on the menu. Are Ferg's new meds for a limited duration, or maintenance meds?

David, to hear you've hit a good patch with the eating. When it's going well for me I can never understand what has clicked. When it's going poorly, eating well feels impossible, and then suddenly it becomes possible again.

Liz, hoping for good news for your family. SIL is blessed to have your support no matter what transpires.

Back to the board after a weekend hiatus. Boy, did we have a busy weekend. Saturday was the Airedale Club meeting here. We had 30 for dinner. I am proud to say I managed all the cooking and by myself and without too much stress. I also did not eat loads of crap. Having control of the menu, I adulted when it came to desert and provided fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, whipped cream and for those who wished, sliced pound cake. Dinner was grilled tri tip steak, slow bbq'd pork ribs, chicken basil sausages, a Caesar salad, Hawaiian rolls, and corn pudding. I did have a spoonful of pudding and 1 Hawaiian roll. But since that was my only meal of the day, I did not feel too indulgent.

Yesterday was up and at 'em! 9:00 am brought on the grooming clients. Groomed two Airedales and then was off to Sonoma for more of MIL's clean out. It was more productive yesterday. Ron, his brother Allan, and I got the backyard completely done! It is set up for the estate sale. Yippee! Onward to get the house finished. We did not get home until after 11:00 pm last night. Ron fell asleep on the couch watching tv and I collapsed into bed around 1:00 am. I slept in until 10:00! My body must have needed the rest! Wow! Haven't slept like that in I don't know how long.

Weight is 261.9 this morning. Pretty darn good after a weekend of eating on the fly. My meals yesterday were both fast food. Blech.... but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Today is a bit of a relaxation day. Not much "physical" work planned, except a work out. We have some phone calls to make and I should move the RV to it's new holding location. I think I would like to sit and read on the back deck, too. I have not been reading AT ALL for the last several months. I need that indulgence.

Reading, yes, find time to sit on your deck and read something wonderful. One of my favorite hobbies. Right now I'm reading a biography about Bob Fosse. My interest got piqued after I started watching Fosse/Verdon on FX. I'm a big Fosse fan, his choreography for Chicago is perfection.

Fosse was a visionary, but Verdon was the cornerstone of his success, IMO! He was so artistic and so esoteric (and let's face it - messed up!) he lacked the basic underpinnings of stability in everyday life.

Good Morning All - BRRRR here with a temp of 33 but we should get to 55 today. Yes Diane definately winter... Heater is on in the mini house.

I have Vet coming at 9.30am as our youngest calf isnt well. Hasnt been himself for last day or so. Hes currently in the stock yard with his mum. Will be good to see what they say. I think he has a cold or start of pneumonia but will leave it to the experts. It will be his first time in the Race and Cattle Crush and I dont think hes going to like it - but must be done

Just work on the agenda today then I will drop off the Bolognaise Sauce I made to my SIL and her family. I cooked it for hours last night so its rich - perfect for a cold winters night.

Diane O - so glad you had a wonderful time

Cec - Hope your Dads Cataract Surgery goes well

Liz - Thinking of you and hoping its good news re your SIL

Peps - Sounds like you had a great weekend and well done on getting the yard all sorted at MIL

David - Hope your apt goes well

Hello to everyone else to come :)

For fun today - Im going to visit with my SIL and niece before I head over to other SIL's farm and tend to all her animals. Would like to get some mowing done but I doubt I will have enough light - and right now boosting my SIL's wellbeing with a cuddle and a giggle is way more important.

Hope you all have a wonderful evening - I best go start my day and feed Mumma and her Bub some Hay as its just getting light and shes bellowing to remind me shes hungry
