Good on you Liz - sometimes its hard to do but you are doing it for both of them. Think of it as the glue to bring them together

Hugs and hope the rain subsided and you both didnt end up soaked to the skin

Good Morning All

Start of the working week for me - ugggg - least Im at the farm. DH has just gone to a meeting then will come back and work here till he heads back to the city house with the Pups. Im staying till Wed after work to care for my SIL's farm as shes in the city. Her DH is 60 today

Spent most of the day yesterday cooking and doing housework stuff. Made a huge pot of Potato & Leek Soup and a batch of scones - took them over to SIL for lunch. Came home via other SIL farm to help with clean up after a fox attack overnight - she lost 15 of her beautiful hens. Safe to say foxes are an animal I detest....... I had cabin fever so I went out on the ride on and mowed till dark. DH has managed to get 5 fence posts dug in and concreted - more will be done the next weekend we are up. See pic - he took a lovely pic of the girls chomping in the area we have taped off for them. Content cows with full bellies. Their calves are growing like mushrooms! I gave them a 22lb bag of carrot peels and they all munched through it - after initial confusion as to what those orange things you just gave us are. Funny to watch

Plans for today - work will likely be hectic. I want to make up a big batch of meat sauce and let it cook most of the day. Then I will likely pop it across to SIL's and have a cuppa with them. Then bundle up all the stuff heading back to the city with DH.

Cec - I love strawberries - always go for the smaller ones - SIL grows them and nothing better than picking straight off the bush and eating on a hot summers day. So happy Ferg is getting better x

David - Good luck with the procedure. Hope it goes well

Diane S - Looking forward to seeing deck pictures. And hope the grooming of Tesla goes well. Thought of you yesterday as my best friends potting group had a Raku firing.

DD- Wow that was a quick change. Glad you both got out of there. I love lightening storms but from the safety of a house - he he he

Diane O - Hope you are having a good time - look forward to hearing all about it

Ann - Same to you

Liz - Hope you had a good night with DSD and her visit is going well

BB - Hoping Bekka is feeling much better

Shel - My fun today will be visiting my SIL and maybe some time out on the ride on if light and time permits. If not even walking down to the cows and having them run up to me mooing makes my heart sing

Waves to anyone Ive missed - I best go start my day

Lovely cows. And a cattle dog or two? I so love driving around our area with lots of dairy cattle. Black and white kind. And even herds of dairy goats since there is an internationally known goat cheese maker here. Cypress grove. Yay Cows. ds

Thanks Diane :) Yes most of them are pure bred Black Angus - I adore them. Something about seeing them in the paddocks munching away huh. Its peaceful :)

The Red dog is Johns furchild - a Red Heeler - who is just a lovely boy. The Blonde one is Bella - shes my first rescue and we think a beagle x lab - the other one which isnt in picture is my second rescue and my challenge but super loyal a Kelpie x Lab called Maggie. She is my shadow
