Good morning,
Peps, about packing cubes amazon's offerings. I thought of buying them for years, but just seemed like more stuff to have in house. Eventually I did buy, and they truly making packing/unpacking suitcase a breeze. I also use a second set to organize a couple of dresser drawers that would otherwise be a jumble of stuff.
David! YOU ARE AMAZING! That raised planting bed is a work of art. You can expect to find me in it in a few months, happily munching away.
Liz, enjoy these final sweet hours. I agree with Cecily, the more that others experience DH in his difficult stages the more everyone will understand that both you and he will need a lot more assistance, soon.
Enjoy the day,
Shel

Drive by post because we are leaving soon for downtown Mexico City,Cathedral etc. What I want, what I need to share with the people who would understand the best, yesterday I was able to make it to the top of the pyramid of the Sun in Teotihucan! Even with sprained wrist, bad knee, regain, and high altitude!!!! I have a picture of bff and me on the pyramid when we were 21. We recreated it at 58. Another shout out to the transformative power of the sleeve!
Not much to report since last night, but am planning on a protein forward day.
264.3 this morning. hey, .2 down is .2 down. I'll take it! LOL! (BTW, posting weight here helps me with acceptance and lack of shame. So, while hardly a "svelte" weight, it is my true weight and I feel good that I can post it here , with you all, without a sense of shame.)
I am realizing how much "automatic" eating I do. I wonder if I took up grazing when I stopped smoking? Hmmm... Always something to ponder.
Ron arrived home last night with a van full of his mom's "porch" plants. We now have some type of pretty wispy palms, a mystery succulent, a ficus tree, a huge urn, begonias, a couple of succulent pot gardens and a painted metal cafe set. The house already looks like a used furniture store and now the back patio is beginning to look a mess, too. Going to have to get everything organized next week after my niece's wedding this weekend.
Greetings Great Ones
157.5 and holding. I accept that since I have done little to make changes.
Lordy DianeO I can just imagine the doggie mud wrestling going on. There needs to be a dog car wash that they can just walk through and get hosed off. Of course they would think its a big toy. Glad DC is doing well.
Dave the raised beds totally rock. Perfect. Those veggies will be extra good grown in beds made from your own boards. The only thing you didn't make was the dirt. Or maybe you did!!! Just try to get in there thieving critters. Around here the deer are the worst followed by raccoons.
Liz safe travels home. Bet Justice will be thrilled. And I agree with Cecily that its good others know more of what you are dealing with. Hope you can find a situation soon for DH.
DD, temple of the Sun! Always wanted to see that. I have been to Chichin Itza (yeah I know that's not spelled right) but I didn't climb up it. I was too fat. Yay for recreating the moment.
Peps I sympathize on the overload of house plants and such. It will work itself out eventually.
A major episode of Tool Time occurred here this am. DH needed to remove a screw from the deck to take off the hose hanger. The screw was stripped so several different tools plus consulting the internet were involved in this project. Mission accomplished using a special tool designed to remove stripped screws. Who knew. Carpenter Jerry is removing all the leftover lumber and old boards. DH wanted to keep more of it. I said no and HELL NO.
Shrimp last night plus a half ear of corn. Same thing tonight.
Things are getting bad for my brother. I think he is finally recognizing he is dying. None of the rehab centers wanted to take him but one finally did. He keeps falling. SIL is getting out legal documents and such. Not good. My mom's former nurse is going to go help him with some rehab that the center doesn't provide.
Gallery duty today. Its gonna be dull. Gotta take plenty of crosswords and I pad.
And yeah Shel, we love your back yard. Even the psychedelic rocks. Makes me think we should go up to Dry Lagoon and look for agates this weekend. Best spot.
Thats it. More coffee awaits. Diane S
LOL - doggie car wash! I think I've seen some doggie showers in HGTV homes which might almost qualify.
