We had sun yesterday! Such a beautiful day. I did more weeding. 3/5ths done with what needs doing, but I had to stop because my hands hurt. I also am cutting deadwood out of a bunch of butterfly bushes and just under half done with that. A workout is likely in order too. Today will be in the 50s and 60s and mostly cloudy, but not raining!

I got a night vision wildlife camera and captured footage of my garden enemies. Deer. Jerks. Jumping right over the barrier to eat my plants. I've ordered a motion activated sprinkler to try next.

Off to weed now!

I do apologize for being somewhat sporadic in posting lately. Lots going on here. I will try to write a longer post later today to catch you all up on life. In the meantime, some of you may have seen this on FB, but yesterday this happened:

It is my new Subaru Outback. I traded in the 8 year old Toyota Sienna with 93,840 miles on it. The dealership was more than fair and gave me mid Kelly Blue Book for the Toyota. I have never felt sad about saying goodbye to a car, but I felt kind of emotional leaving the Toyota behind. It's been such a great vehicle. Funny, the feels we get sometime.

SIL has a white outback. We are next in line when she gets ready to trade. She said it it the best car she has ever owned. We are about broke buying their hand me downs. The Airstream was theirs before we remodeled it. Then last week the truck.

Greetings Wonderous Ones

158 today. Not liking this trend. *****ing won't do any thing about it. Action will.

Yep, we are a nation of rain woes these days. California was in drought for so long and after this past year it is officially over. There was flooding here this winter but certain areas often flood. Thats why they stay pastures and nothing is built there. Soon the yard will turn brown.

Diane O glad your car repair is under warranty. Car repair is such a pain - biggest hassle when I had a real job. Even now I hate dealing with it.

Dinner last night was black bean burgers and half an ear of sweet corn. We are trying to eat our way through the stuff in the freezer.

BB yeah lots of us are "fixers". I am one. When people gripe I always feel like I should come up with a solution. Sometimes they just want to ***** and let off steam. And Ann, yeah we all have to learn to just experience and observe emotions and not struggle or fight with them. Glad you are having fun on your trip.

Peps, cool new car. Love the color. Room for 2 dog crates? Hope so.

Our carpenter is back finishing a few things and then building a gate. One side of the back yard is closed off by a piece of old siding. Needs to go away. Deck got power washed yesterday. I will go pick up the stain today. "Blue Heron" to complement lavender house.

Managed to hit all the banks yesterday including the one with candy. Errands for today include dog toenail clipping, stain collection and maybe a recycle trip. Also have to figure out a tax penalty for the gallery (minor) and similar odds and ends. I must face the ugly music of paper sorting and trashing.

My older brother is back in hospital due to falling. Not good. Wish I knew what to do.

Dave love the raised beds. So cool you make your own boards!

Time to get busy. Oh wait, there is still a half cup of coffee. Diane S
