Greetings Peeps, Peps and Pups
156.5 today. At the doctor yesterday I weighed 160!!!!! Not good. And I even removed shoes and wore light clothing on purpose. All is well though except for fatness. Clothes don't lie. Feeling snug.
Liz so glad you are having fun. Well deserved. And it must be good to hear that DH is doing fine. That will make future plans easier. And yeah, why ruin a sunset with icky music?
DD glad you only broke a finger and not more. Some of us are not made for yard work. Like you and me.
Getting ready for gallery duty. It will be slow but there is a wonderful new show to look at. Weaving and ceramics. Must take toys.
Just ate taccitos for breakfast. Two have 125 calories. I have been craving mexican food again. Could be worse.
DH plans to set the fence posts for the gate today. I am glad I won't be here. But I bet he doesn't get it done.
I learned my brother with the brain tumor is falling frequently and SIL keeps calling the rescue squad to get him up. I so wish they had moved to assisted living. I fear he is headed for nursing home. Not good.
Take care all. Diane S
Several of my family did move to assisted living at various times. Always made me feel peaceful knowing they had options the didn't have at home. One of my Grandma's was the best at it, she was an amputee (leg, crazy enough a non cancerous tumor hollowed out her leg, discovered when the bone just gave way one day), and she was on a shuttle to Wal-Mart, or church, or a concert everyday, sometimes more than once per day.It gave her such freedom. We couldn't keep track of her! Another great aunt celebrated the day her name got to the top of the waiting list. Her high rise had a party room with a view of Lake Superior in Duluth. Million dollar view! We had great family parties. I'm not sure why people resist it?
I know for my MIL, it meant that she was in her last stage of life so the decision was very difficult. But she too regained a lot of freedom and was very active after she moved from her single family home.
