I believe it is Flag Day in the US? I bet there will be some flying around here.
I find myself becoming less stressed each day. I'm okay for the most part with what I am eating but there are definitely more glasses of wine being imbibed than necessary. We stayed close to the beach last night and watched the sunset at a new Beach Bar. Cute place, but too much loud techno music. We returned to eat at our resort bar. I had some of the insides of a steak sandwich and 2-3 fries and was full. Thank you VSG!
Tonight and tomorrow night we are going to higher end restaurants where the portions will be quite large. So there will probably be quite a few leftovers for lunch the next few days.
DH is apparently doing well and hasn't asked about me. He might be relieved that I'm not around, LOL!
Have a fantastic Friday!

Liz, glad DH is doing well. Yes, it's flag day in the US ! Ann, one of the reasons I continue to tweak my metrics is that I know I need something daily in addition to the scale, but I want it to evolve with my needs. You'll build what works for you ! It has been cool and rainy here the last few days so the garden and lawn are growing. The end of the month is our Forest River Owners Group (FROG) regional gathering in Gettysburg PA, four hours away. We hope to get a lot of questions answered by owners with like experiences. At this point, part of me wants to travel extensively in the RV, part of me wants to return to Pawleys Island permanently, and part of me wants to trade the RV in for a 5th wheel we could live in somewhere warm. There are many RV resorts where you can purchase a casita (core living area, bathroom, storage, etc.) for a very small price, and park your RV or trailer next to it, in effect living out of both. Yes, as we've all said, adulting does not come with a play book.

Liz, I'm so glad you're relaxing! No one deserves this kind of break more than you. And how wonderful that your husband is doing well, too.

Good morning! We've had a nice stretch of sunny, but unseasonably cool days. We had the cold rain earlier, that we apparently sent to Cecily in Michigan. This afternoon I'm driving to my parents house. Then Saturday we are driving to a small town up north to attend a memorial of a dear family friend who passed away in January.
My wrist is feeling a bit better today, yeah! It turns out I did have a small fracture in one of my fingers, so I'll be wearing a splint, but no other concerns. Proof I probably belong on the porch with a good book. No one sprains their wrist while reading. :) Regardless, I'm confident I'll be feeling better by Tuesday when we leave for Mexico City. Viva!

She returned home today. She was actually pretty nice this trip, but it was sad to see the physical deterioration. Boy, it really is a matter of use it or lose it! She is about to lose her independence because she hasn't kept up her strength, balance, and mobility. A good lesson to me!
That is an important lesson for us all! Especially for those of us getting into the older age ranges.
