Greetings Partiers
157 today. I had a party with a jar of peanuts last night. I tell myself its less sugar than peanut butter but still not a good thing. And I was actually pretty active (for me) yesterday. Think my spirit animal is a 3 toed sloth. We worked on our fish fence project at the studio. A sort of memorial to a former member who made fabulous life like fish from clay. We have her molds and will make a bunch of fish and put them on the fence by the outdoor table at the studio. Mine is polka dotted.
You Shel, what a grand and beautiful party. Your daughter looks like you! Great looking food and the photo strings are a fabulous touch. You done good. And jeepers your garden looks so wonderful. Even with resin creatures. Wait til I post our garden. Looks like an exploded tool shed.
Diane O hope you will post your Budah figure with its newly painted stones. All this makes me want to garden. Deck is still under repair and it will be a couple of weeks before it is repaired and painted. Carpenter is actually coming to work today. I think he wants to get the work done and paid before he goes on a vacation.
We have had some theft at the Fresh Fudge art gallery. One artist has this fabulous image and someone stole an 18 by 24 inch drawing. She is quite certain due to her record keeping. Can't figure out how someone would get that out of there unless the worker was distracted. So we are all in a hubbub about what to do. A beautiful hand dyed scarf was also taken and some cards. A couple of years ago I had a piece stolen from the other gallery but there is usually not much problem.
Liz so glad you are in Aruba and relaxing. Dump the guilt. Yesterday at the studio we decided that after age 50 one should never feel guilty about anything anymore. Fabulous looking beach.
Hey Bonnie150 have a good trip and meet up with Ann. And Ann, please report on girl party at your convenience.
Its sunny and calm so dog walk may be in order. After the coffee that is. Diane S
What a terrible thing to happen at the Fresh Fudge gallery! I bet there was a team in the store, with one person keeping the ever-helpful worker occupied. That place has so many windows that the thief would have been worried that the worker might glance out a window and see the thief leaving with the stolen picture.

Diane, I bought some little cameras by WYZE from Amazon for my house. They are super cheap ($25 for the stationary one and $37 for the one you can swivel remotely 360*) with an additional little SD Card you can record activity with really nice clarity. I bought them to be able to check on the dog when I'm not home, but I can also look to see when the housecleaners are done, etc. It does require wifi, but it might be an inexpensive theft deterrent.
I love our Nest ! Great way to check in on dogs and footage is stored in some cloud.

Hey thanks Cecily, great idea. I copied your post and shared it on the gallery chat room. They key is getting someone to just do it. Good to know there is a good inexpensive option. At the desk you can't see people in certain areas but the place is not all that big. We have wifi and such even thought the building is 120 years old.
And hey, we do have a buzz collar for Tesla. She is an awful barker and the neighbor dogs are worse. The collar is fancy and emits a warning buzz before it actually shocks. I hate the idea but it works well and we can't have her barking at late hours.
I had to invest in a shock collar for my Kelpie who forgets to switch off and creates havoc trying to herd everything in manic circles. They do work a treat when needed. She also had seperation anxiety when I rescued her and barked all day while I was at work. Not ideal in a a surburban block - I tried every other option - the spray collar - that spray citronella into their face when they bark - she was smart enough to realise if she barked non stop she dispensed it all and was free for the remaining 8 hours. Then I tried a vibration collar - she again worked that one out - and got around it
Something to be said about the intelligence of a working dog huh ......
That stinks that you have to deal with this kind of theft. Sad that you need cameras to deter it...

Good Morning All - Monday and a public holiday - rain started late yesterday afternoon and has been patchy through the night. We didnt get the planting/re-planting/cleaning up finished as we ran out of Tree Guards. The rain looks like its set in for the morning - so a slower day inside for us. Least I got SIL washing dry - its folded and ready to take back.
I have cooked dinner for tonight already so we can get out this afternoon and get some more work done before the 3.5 hour trek home. My sore throat has finally morphed into a runny nose and headaches - grrrr but hoping to get rid of it fast. Was asleep by 8.30pm last night
I will respond to everyone individually :)
Diane - You are doing a fabulous job in your garden :) Must feel great
Have a wonderful evening all
