  3. 10,000+ Steps: 6427
  4. Fitness: walking
  5. Self-Care: signed up for 5 k walk next Saturday
  6. Fun: repainting decorative rocks in outdoor garden
  7. I learned/relearned: I can choose how I react.
  8. Intentions: Seek balance & relax, rejuvenate, & recalibrate !!

I have a fairly large seated Buddha statue in my rock garden. At his feet, is an arc of larger flat river rocks, painted in the colors of a chakra (r,o,y,g,b,i,v). I had fun repainting those rocks yesterday...with all of the weeds out, I could actually see the stones ! You can't fix what you can't see. I made a prototype shade for one of the RV skylights, as the solar gain this time of year is not desired. It worked out well, so I'll make a second one today. Being able to cover those two large surfaces will go a long way toward keeping SS cooler.

Eager for party picts and updates Ann and Shel ! DD, Peps and Miss Bonnie... how are the first days of summer vacation treating you ? Liz... is Aruba everything you hoped for and more ? BB, the pictures I saw are so perfect !! She is such a sweetie ! Diane S, can't wait to see pictures of the finished deck. Shirl... your lane is really taking shape ! I continue to be in awe of how much work a farm is !!

Good morning all summer kindred spirits!

Every ones attention to yard and lawn and flowerbed maintenance and beautification progress---Diane, (Washing moss off rocks?!), Cecily (Oh, the flower beds!), Ann (all that mowing!), Shirl (planting a park like setting)--If you all could scan our outdoor space you would understand just why....

I'm off this morning- running a bit late. Will be gone 'till just before the 4th. Ann, I saw your plans for company this weekend- but I can easily return via West Plains. If you're free early that week, would love to get together.

The down visit sends me through Vicksburg and I'll put up at one of those Antebellum homes on the river for the night.

I have no certain idea of internet connections- Dad lives in the piney woods of the Florida Panhandle. I may have to go to the local library to access- maybe I'll figure out the mysteries of this cell phone (just ventured into the 21st century--my phones at home are still rotary dial land lines)

Crossing my fingers that Mr. Whipple and companion plumbing play nicely- this is my first venture sans the quiet privacy of my own favorite room. The Whip doesn't like sketchy schedules, and is already pissed of and not cooperating well.

No scales for the duration--deep southern cuisine is not condusive to maintenance. Must be mindful, if I can.

Will hopefully stay in touch. Thinking of you all!!!!!

Good idea to have shades on the skylights! My sunroom on Cape Cod needs them in the summer as well as there is just too much light that time of year.

I am here, I am unpacked, provisions are in the fridge and cabinets, and WiFi is working. I am able to avoid phone charges by using Skype for calls and messaging (and can message via WiFi with those having iPhones). Two cups of coffee in and my personal "plumbing" seems to stabilizing post travel (always an issue). I saw so many close friends here yesterday! Someone said that when we come here we are coming to our Aruba family. I felt 1/3 sad, 1/3 guilty and 1/3 relieved last night. I promised everyone I would drop the first and most of the second today.

Here is the view from my patio while I had my coffee this morning. Time for my first beach walk of the day (I usually do 4-6 miles a day).

Looks like paradise, well earned. I can understand the sadness, but you have no reason for guilt. None. Glad to hear you will be able to focus on enjoying your time.

Yesterday I didn't make it out to the yard, despite the beautiful weather, instead I purged my dresser, my current season closet, and my off season closet. Feels great!!! Huge piles of things for Goodwill, smaller pile for the consignment shop. Cooler today, rain predicted. Most likely more indoor organizing/purging.
