Concerning yesterday's post about mowing. My first real jobs were news paper delivery and lawn mowing. I was 10 or 11. I would Never allow my 10 yr old to mow with a push mower. But I earned enough money to go swimming at the public pool. The religious beliefs of my parents were against mixed sex swimming. I loved to swim so much that I talked my parents into letting me go even at 15.
Today went to specialist Dr s appointment for DW in LittleRock. 5 hour round trip. Treatment plan in place.
Got the saw running yesterday. Cut up a couple of logs before I tuckered out. Slept great! I have oak, ash, walnut and cedar left to cut from my collection. Then there are various piles left from logging last year. There is enough timber on the ground that I will not need to fell a tree for quite some time. The previous owner of the saw left the blades out in the rain. I can't really tell what I have. Managed to find a sharp one and after 2 cuts I managed to cut a steel brace with it. I was greatly disappointed because it was cutting so well up to that point. When a blade is dull it cuts wavy. Wavy lumber means more planning and waste.
Adalyn just came over. She mimics very well. She meows like a cat, moos like a cow and crows like a rooster. But she doesn't say mama or much of anything. One of the baby bum has if you are happy and you know it say hello. The other day she said hello as clear as a bell. With 3 witnesses. But only once. She said pop pop twice clear enough that DD recognized it. If she is like her mother when the switch get flipped you will not be able to get a word in. We got her DD at 18 months through foster care. She only said a couple of words. Adalyn is 17 months.
We sold our good car to DD several months ago. Been driving an old fleet work van. I have really enjoyed the van overall. DS#1 is upgrading his trucks so we are getting one of his old ones. It is a really nice upgrade. King ranch. All the whistles and bells. Air conditioned seats. That is going to come in handy in the hot and humid south.
More later, David

Life continues... just too much and I'm too tired, but wanted to say hey!
At least I got in a good, good workout in today. My back is close to 100%, but still has noticeable soreness each day. I'm happy that today, once my body awakened and un-stiffened from it's night of lying in bed, I didn't even think about my bac****il sometime this afternoon.
Tomorrow is the dreaded family meeting at Ron's sister's house. The body ID has been postponed due to a flight layover in Texas. The body is now not arriving until sometime tomorrow. If you want to get back at your children for all the crap they pulled growing up, die in Mexico. I kid you not. Pay back is a *****!
Funeral has been set for June 7th. EVERYONE PROMISED that it would be after the 7th. Any day but the 7th was fine for Ron and me. The 7th is the last day of school. Can of worms...
Weight is stable, but I'm not losing. I'm sugaring a bit more than I ought to do. Sigh... with ongoing MIL issues, the deluge of "end of school" work, placing Liza and the regular day in and day out it's no wonder that I am a bit off with the eating.
The weather here is finally lovely again. I have money in the bank, I have strength and health, a loving partner, and a pack of glorious dogs and I am tan. I can not complain. Life is good.
