This is my fourth surgiversary ! I checked back the first and second years, then I moved and never found a new practice. Recent posts have made me realize that I need the accountability and back up plan. Though, by the grace of the powers that be, I don't meander far from my five pound range the potential is there. Life and forays into carbs and sugar could easily plunge me into a vortex of old patterns of behavior. I am either going to find a new practice, or check back in with my old one.
Usually DC mows the back yard and I do the front. He got busy cleaning the garage, which really needed it, while I did the front. I have to admit, I thought I'd do a better job working around the fresh seed in the back (and if I blew it all away...only myself to blame) so I mowed the back too. LOVE mowing ! Score...garage is more organized and I got the steps/satisfaction !

Fly-by post today.
Got all the laundry done, logged 10K steps before lunch, watched Netflix and dozed in the afternoon, and slept 10.5 hours last night! And that was my day.
This morning it's yoga class and grocery shopping. After lunch I'm going on a field trip to Arkansas with some friends.
Y'all have a great day!
Today's theme: WATER!
P.S. DianeO, I support your decision to stay in touch with a bariatric practice. I also second your appreciation of mowing. :)

Weight 134.8, calories ? We went to a friends for a BBQ. Some stuff was eaten that shouldn't have been but a lot was shrimp which I'm not worried about. Definitely too much eating for weight loss but probably not super high.
Mowing appreciation? I have never mowed in my life. I was always afraid I'd cut my foot off or flip the ride-on mower.
Today DH goes to daycare. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I think it is going to be rainy so maybe not inclined to go too far afield.
Have a thoughtful Tuesday!

My stress eating weight was gone this morning. Yay!
I think that increasing water intake is a good intention for today. I do not know why I am sucking at this lately. I feel "proud" when I get 48 oz down in a day. LOL!
Saw Avengers Endgame last night. Ron LOVED it. Not being a superhero and comic book fanatic, I thought it was good, but not a great movie. Unless one is a die hard Marvel comics fan, I think it is not a must see. Clearly, there are a lot of die hard fans, though. Lots of people still in the theater for a movie that has been out for many weeks.
Why on Earth am I feeling kind of guilty about having to take Thursday off to support Ron with MIL's body ID? I know it must be because it's the last two weeks of school. Otherwise, I know it wouldn't bother me in the least.
I have not been back to my bariatric practice since my third year anniversary. However, my PCP is linked up with them in the same HMO, so they have access to my yearly labs and weight. I see my PCP without fail each year and have my labs done once, sometimes twice, per year. I find that the accountability with my PCP is enough. Lord knows I'm harder on myself than either my bariatric MD or my PCP is. Both of them have always told me to lighten up and find the success in what I do!
I am seeing that as summer is approaching I am itching to prioritize. I guess it's time for a couple more lists.
Today I am feeling tenacious, so to everyone I wish a Tenacious Tuesday! Let's all hold on to today's marvels like a pit bull holding on to his favorite toy!
Devon, I think both your docs are smart. Love their advice. I should "listen louder" (as DH used to say) to that advice. :)

Greetings Tuesday Travelers
156 today. I love Tuesday because its Scrabble day and also old people discount day at the health food store. My amusement threshold is low.
Lordy horrid floods, tornados and storms. Take care all of you in the danger areas. When I was a kid, my parents build a house and it had a 12 inch thick poured concrete basement for storm shelter plus the red scare. We had duck and cover drills. Do I date myself or what?
DianeO and Ann, its a good thing you love mowing because it sounds like you have much of it to do!! Wish you could give blood transfusion to my DH though he did finally tame the hayfield. Around here it stops raining in the summer and the grass doesn't grow much.
Shel, still thinking about junk that picks itself up. Maybe some kind of drone that comes to the back yard and picks up designated unwanted stuff and takes it away.
Peps, wish your day off from school was for something more pleasant.
Liz have a relaxing day. Maybe do a self spa.
Made Scotch eggs last night with sage sausage. Quite good and so filling. More tonight.
Dave glad to see you got the sawmill up and running and even more glad you are enjoying the project. Grinning is good. What are you going to do with all the boards? Build a playhouse for the girls?
Time for scrabble. Life is good. Diane S
Hello everyone, back from our visit to Boston. Many things to ponder as I read posts from the last fee days. Peps, I add my voice to the others to offer you and Ron my condolences on the loss of his mother. And I understand the anxiety of needing to be away from school at the end of the year... My principal always says, take care of family first, and school will have a way of working out. I was there today, but will have a sub tomorrow for the funeral Mass.
We relaxed in Boston, and had some nice weather. We go frequent to see our daughter, who lives in the Jamaica Plains neighborhood. Her apartment is small, so when we all go, we stay with some friends who live in a large house in Reading. Saturday we had lunch in Gloucester and then drove around Cape Ann, ending up in Rockport. Love that city. Sunday we went to a delightfully pink tea house and had high tea in some town close to Concord, and then in the evening had dinner and drinks in Salem. Monday we had brunch in Sommerville at our favorite Irish Pub, The Berean, and then hung out on daughter's dec****il it was time to go to the airport. So lots of eating and browsing little stores in picturesque towns. All very restorative for the soul, but not the goal weight. The struggle is real.
