Just a drive by for accountability. Just a laid back Holiday weekend Sunday with not much going on. There has been so very much rain lately, that DH can't get into the garden. Too bad, as I finally opened the pickled asparagus, and it is DELIGHTFUL! Crisp and mild. Yum. If the asparagus get tall enough, Kurt will call the season closed and let them grow to allow the roots to store lots of energy for next year. I surely would love to have a few more jars on the pantry shelf....we'll see. Lettuce, radishes, onion and cucumbers coming up nicely (if they haven't drowned, that is)
