Weight has climbed all winter. I have a bee swarm in a trap box. Bee suit is skin tight. When I bought it I could almost turn around in it.

Adalyn is growing and reaching milestones everyday. She is starting to sleep through the night. She still does not talk much. She went to children s hospital for eval and they said she had deficits in 3 area. Speech, OT, PT therapies were scheduled and she qualified for a therapeutic daycare with in house therapists. They are not doing much with speech right now. She loves it. When she visits we ride the tractor, visit the animals, eat and sneak in a few minutes of screen time. She has me more wrapped around her finger than ever.

My DW in the master of finding a bargain. They appear out of nowhere when she is around. Over the past 2 yearsI have been researching sawmills for oldest DS. He wants all the whistles and bells. 50k. About the time we decided on a brand he thought he would look around some more. Back to present day bargain magnet. DW was talking to an elderly man that used to have sawmills. He knows a guy who know a guy. Next thing I know I am packing up a sawmill to bring home. It is the next to smallest in the line and has no whistles. The guy was firm on his price of 4K even with a week of haggling... until DW enters the negotiations. He did not know he did not have a chance. He knocked off 500 dollars. Hope to bring it home today. I have the best wife. I have always praised her shopping abilities but now I just bow.

Maybe sawing therapy will make me lose some weight. I do feel like I am smiling.

David, I'm smiling here, too. Sawing therapy--it could be a thing! :)

Devon, I've been looking again and again at the photograph of your mother-in-law floating in the pool an hour before she died. Pure bliss! Thank you again for sharing that.

And puppy pictures--nothing like puppy pictures. Thank you, DianeS. FTR, I refuse to let anyone hand me a puppy, even to pet. I'm afraid I couldn't resist it. And I neither need one nor want to take one home.

Today's agenda includes more mowing, a more substantial yoga@home session, and listening to U.Iowa writing podcasts.

This afternoon I'm skipping a kid's birthday party with cake and ice cream. I don't want the sugar, am afraid I'd succumb, and would much rather have a quiet afternoon than get gussied up, drive an hour each way, and sit on a lawn amidst humidity, mosquitoes and screaming kids.

Today's theme: Shake it off!

Dave, you are blessed with you granddaughters and DW. I know how you love to make things, so sawing therapy could definitely be a plus.

And I too am still smiling at floating in a pool in paradise in ones last moments.

Weight 133.8, calories 1327. We went shopping longer than even I enjoy for DD's apartment, but she feels pretty ready other than some additional furniture she wants. Dinner out in the water for DD's birthday was great and I shared a lobster roll with DH (I didn't have any of the roll but I did have a few sweet potato fries).

Today is helping DD put whatever fits in her truck to take to her new apartment. There will be a secondary trip later with a friend to get her couch and larger stuff but she wants to get enough to start staying in the apartment in the next few days. Other than that the agenda includes walking the dog and cooking something healthy to eat for a few days. I think the sun is coming out later and we are supposed to warm up to the mid 70s.

Have a super Sunday!

David, so nice to see you back!

Fergus is clean! He was actually pretty good about it. I got him upstairs with a cookie and got him in the tub by throwing the cookie in there. I got a new doggie shower wand and it's great. And today is brush day. I've already gotten 9 brush-fulls of fur out of my hairy beast. Peps, maybe you can answer this - why when I brush thoroughly before his bath do I get so little fur out, but after his bath it brushes out so easily and copiously? Maybe grime holds it in there?

Aside from dog brushing, I'm having lunch and going to the movies with a friend.

I too am still smiling over the pool picture. Seriously, she wins for best ending ever.

Greetings Sunday Buddies

156 today. Dinner was early at our friends and didn't eat anything much late. A few peanuts. I tell myself peanuts are better than peanut butter as there is no added sugar.

Hey Dave, good to hear from you. Sounds like you are well established in the grandpa business. Good for you. So good for the little girls. And way to go DW on the bargain sawmill. Keep sawing away. What is DS going to make with all the boards? And also good on you for keeping bees. The world can't live without them. Lots of bee keepers around here. Keep smiling too.

Ann, good for you for skipping the kid birthday party. Outdoors with bugs and heat = yuck. And such parties are mostly sugar dispensing systems and not even that good kind of sweet.

We go to friends today for a cookout. The health food store has made up bacon cheese patties and gorgonzola mushroom patties so we are taking those. I will make parmesan cheese crisps. Smaller crowd this year as some are out of town, some not well and one person is mad at others.

Cecily, that dog washer wand sounds like a winner. Does Fergie like the water? Hope the trip north goes well.

I am putting another puppy picture below. Puppies in a pile. These pups were fun to hold. They relaxed and were not too wiggly.

Well time to get moving. The junk won't pick itself up. Diane S

He loves swimming, but soap is pretty low on his list.

I so LOVE puppies, but not cleaning up after them prior to toilet training (LOL). Hence Justice's adoption - but at his size he is almost like a puppy (weighing in at a svelte 10 pounds this morning).

LOL some dogs are forever puppies and Justice is one. The breeders of these puppies have them in a pen with an adjoining pen of wood shavings. Even these 6 week old puppies have learned to go potty in the wood shavings. They wake up and dutifully head for the shavings. Very cute. d

We need to invent Junk That Picks Itself Up. JTPIU. Need catchier name......still, much potential in the idea.

I hope you visit the pups as often as possible.

Hmmmm Shel, this could be a thing. Items that automatically return to their designated spot. Socks that jump up off the floor. Self unloading dishwasher...
