After a tough yoga class yesterday morning, a hair appointment and grocery shopping, I came home, had some lunch, and passed out in my chair for a three-hour nap! Could NOT keep my eyes open. That's surely due to taking two Tylenol PMs two nights in a row, so I won't continue that regimen.
Then I awoke to tornado warnings, sightings, and lots of rain, although not nearly as much as the 6.5 inches of rain Bonnie150 got. That's a lotta rain, Bonnie!
And DD, I do have an excellent tornado shelter here in our basement. And you're right ... death is brutally final.
Liz, I'm betting yesterday was a tough day for you. I'm thinking of you, friend.
And for our Shel who's sleeping at the foot of Mount Saint Helens, it's a big day! Later on we'll be watching your GPS moving, moving.
This morning the sky here is clear with a klieg-bright moon overhead. It will be a beautiful day for the countywide garden tour, which is still on.
Today's theme: Walk on through the storm. Listen here.

Is there a way to check the weather at Mount St.Helens? I hope Shel has a successful climb!
Monday was a busy day with SIL - we left at 7:30 am and didn't return until 10:30 pm. The brain MRI did not turn up any metastasis and the PET scan didn't show anything in addition to what they already knew. SIL has decided to have KEYTRUDA (immunotherapy) every 3 weeks. It sounds like the side effects will hopefully be quite manageable. She starts a week from today. Both SILs might come to Aruba for part of the time I will be there, which would be good for all of us. I don't know if SIL's son has realized that it might be important to step up his wedding planning but apparently he did mention the idea of a very small destination wedding to his Mom. As long as SIL is stable that would work. DH wouldn't be able to do it, but he might be in Memory Care by then.
Sunday night (our first night back), DS slept on the couch to keep DH from leaving but he woke him up several times. Monday night we had DH in the same room with no barriers and DS went downstairs to sleep. I woke up before 6 with DH having wandered the house, ruffled through a bunch of places, took off his diaper and dripped all over the downstairs floor. He was wearing my stretchy jeans with no underwear. That would have made a really funny picture, but I was too tired to cope. Peeling them off was quite a chore. Last night we had gates up as barriers to restrict DH's movements and they worked. He could have knocked one down or climbed the other, but he didn't try. Hopefully they will continue to work. I may get some small black rugs to put in front of the gates. Supposedly people with dementia see black rugs as holes in the floor so won't step on them. DH did well at the new daycare yesterday and said he liked it. He goes again tomorrow. If all goes well, I may add days when they have availability.
Today I have to get him showered soon as we both have physicals and he has a coffee hour group for people with dementia. House is slowly getting in order. DS hired a housekeeper so it is clean but he leaves a lot of clutter around. Today our clothing boxes from Florida arrive.
Have a wonderous Wednesday. GOOD LUCK TO SHEL!!!!

I read at the site below that they're not providing daily avalanche warnings right now (winter is over), although this site does offer advices every Friday:

Here's the link Shel sent me to follow her dot: https://share.garmin.com/shel
I think she's parked on a dirt road right now.
Gotta leave now for the garden tour. I hope I can check in today.

Here's a topographic map of Mount St. Helens ... looks like Shel is headed up just to the right of that trail (the black-dashed line) between Dryer Glacier and Swift Glacier. She'll soon near the 8,000 foot elevation line and then turn left to head for the summit shown here at or very near 8,333 feet.

It looks like she's now about half a mile below the summit with only a little more elevation gain to go.
I hope she gets some good pix up there, although the google says it's raining today up there.

Yes, I know I'm bombing everyone with these dots and pix and maps, but look at this: Michelle just reached the edge of the crater, and this is what it looks like!
The summit is just a little uphill stroll to the left.
