Greetings Excellent People.
156.5 today. Ate one slice of thin crust chicken pizza last night. I am not cooking right now so one Papa Murphy's lasts for 4 days.
Such a beautiful yard and outdoor cozy spot DianeO. Enjoy. Do you have mosquito issues? The bane of my outdoor life.
And Shel, look at you - actually sleeping in your truck!! So outdoorsy. I would never consider climbing any mountain that didn't have a Marriot at the base. Good for you for seeking challenge!
Lordy, horrid weather challenges in the midwest. Hope all of you are safe and dry. BB, Oklahoma sounds like it got it bad. Hope you don't go rushing to hospital in the middle of a storm.
So sorry for DD's sad news. Hug those close to you.
My hands are slowly healing. Most of the incisions are just a needle stab but a couple are bigger and still oozing. I did drive the car yesterday. I have some really ugly pictures that I won't post here but will send if anyone wants to see gross stuff. I did go to the studio yesterday and was able to use my right hand to paint glaze with a small brush for awhile. Right hand is less beat up than left. I planned this by having a bunch of stuff ready to glaze before the trip.
Scrabble today which hands can handle.
We are watching the Chernobyl series. Its well done but depressing. I had to drink a glass of wine for medicinal purposes.
Well time to get moving. But half a cup of coffee remains. Diane S
Good Morning All - Weight down 177.76 which is nice. Another busy night with haircut & colour then travel shots. Still have a tender arm but that will go - best to be safe
Today is DS's Girlfriends 21st birthday - we are going to dinner at a rib place so should be fairly easy to make a good protein choice - might share a main with DH. I need to get some more cooking done for the freezer - satay beef balls are on the agenda for today
Not a lot else to be honest. Just washing and continue to get organised for the trip. Its coming way fast. Trip to produce store for chook food if I can fit it in before we have to leave for dinner
DD - My thoughts to you and your family at this sad time x
Have a good day/evening all
Shirley
YOWZAH! Big storm front just blew through here -- blowing and raining like crazy. Tornado was sighted 15 miles away headed straight here, but must've bounced back up. Tornado warnings now canceled, and wind has died down. Just raining now.
Both Bonnies ... y'all OK over there?

Do you have a good shelter? When I was 20, a tornado actually went through the yard of the dumpy student duplex I lived in. It took part of a third floor off a building across the road, but didn't hurt us. The train noise was real! Our home has a completely underground storage room, which makes me feel so much better. Very few houses here lack a basement, my parent's house doesn't because the water table by their lake is too high, but they have a deliberately reinforced closet under their staircase for a storm shelter.
6 1/2 inches of rain here so far. The sump pump is getting a good workout, and we remain dry- house is built on a rise (hill by Kansas standards- slight incline by all others). Tornadoes south of us - also east about 20 miles down the road. High winds and flooding. Stay safe, all, and remember, when there's water over the roadways---turn around- don't drown!
