LOL wasn't there a Marx Brothers movie called "A Night at the Opera"? Sounds like it. Glad you survived. DS

I wish all of you wonderful women a Happy Mother's Day! As Diane O. said, you all have mothered someone at sometime. Yesterday I took pictures of the roses in my garden and sent them to my mom's younger sister. I told her if she lived closer (she's in Baltimore), I would have made a beautiful bouquet of garden roses and brought them to her. When my Mama died in 1998 my aunt really became a second mom to me. Treats me like one of her own kids and even refers to me as her 4th child.

A lovely rose for each of you:

PS - A fine day of eating well paid off - down 2 pounds of water/inflammation. One day behind me. Another day in front of me. Baby steps.

Resentment is corrosive. I need to chant this one. I don't resent people I know. But I often feel resentment towards men with thin, lean, and long physiques. It is a real and deep jealousy. Funny, too when there are people who must be envious of my naturally bulk! Grass is always greener.

A measure of a person is how well the succeed at being who they are. Another gem! It reminds me of the Judy Garland quote, "...be a first rate version of yourself..." I must work at living "myself" at my full potential. I sell myself short far too often.

Off to get ready to trim some Norwich Terriers. Then I shall have the day free to be grateful and practice being a first rate version of myself.

Happy Mother's Day to all!
