My back is better. Not 100% or really all that close to 100%, but I am able to get about without the cane today and I was able to work out upper body with symmetrical moves with support for my back. That felt good.
Mood is better, too, but I'm still rather bleh about school/work.
Eating: meh.....
So glad that Ann made it through cataract surgery! Bonnie 150, I'm keeping prayers/good vibes/mojo going for you - whichever you prefer. Liz, no words. I can't imagine facing the decision you are having to make. Your Yankee fortitude will see you through. But, while it does, I hope you take some California Hippie advice and take care of your soul while you're taking care of Paul. Yankee stoicism only goes so far. Cecily, you and Ferg cross my mind multiple times per day. BB - glad to read your staycation was the right choice. Diane O., hope your first RV adventure of the year is all that you hoped. Shirl, glad you are healing so quickly, but sheesh, just reading some of your posts tire me out. You are a hell of a go getter! Shel, Rainer is looming so close on the horizon! Have the jitters set in yet?
My latest obsession is Motorhome shopping. I went to see a 32 foot Winnebago tonight after the gym. I liked it very much and the price is right! I can pay cash for it. I was so very tempted, but luckily, Ron was not with me. He has made me promise to not buy an RV without him seeing it first. It also does not have the storage space that I would ideally want, so that is something to consider.
Onward, onward....
Devon ... OhMahGawd ... Motorhomes!
I have friends of all kinds, e.g., a Google partner with three teenagers, 80-year-old long-retired Midwesterners who travel together all over the country in a 20-vehicle caravan, a 60-year-old cruising blogger/one of the coolest guys on the planet, who are so into motorhomes and adore that life. Some folks even live and travel full-time in motorhomes of all sizes.
The smaller, van-sized ones you can park in a regular parking place (like the Travatos owned by those people I almost spent a weekend camping out with recently) are of a size that appeals most to me. My hairdresser and his wife have a one-bedroom motorhome with pull-outs (that they tow with their pretty pickup) that to my eye looks more like a plush condo than a motorhome. Oddly, it cost less than half of what a Travato sells for.
There are some large, very active message boards and FB groups that make that life sound like da bomb where you can find answers and advice about every problem that could arise with one of those vehicles.
It's definitely a scene!
