He is only as sick as he knows he is. My gut tells me you will have him longer than you think you will. I'm getting that from your descriptions and the photos. Nothing indicates to me he is anywhere close to making the turn to go home.

I hope so. The vet and the cardiologist didn't seem hopeful, but maybe the treatment and food change will help?

Just like for humans, Ferg's state of mind and happiness may give him more time than the tests indicate.

Oh, what a beautiful picture of Ferg! And yes to the pill organizer plan. Heck, this human can't even keep up with her own meds/supps without a pill organizer, and I bet I take twice as many pills as Ferg does.

And Cecily -- it's not like your day was exactly empty ... an eight mile hike, a medical procedure for you and a vet visit for Ferg, AND the theater? Wow!
