This just in: 77 year old woman that I have known for a while climbed all the major volcanos in cascades in her 30's (didn't get up baker because she had new boots and she had to give up because of blisters)

I didn't know of her history until today when we exchanged summer vacation plans......so she begins to tell me stories including this...."my most terrifying moment was when I fell into a crevasse and just dangled and spun on the rope" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Her (now ex) husband was behind her and anchored the rope. A big burly guy (also on a rope) climbed down and removed her backpack so then she could climb up

Her (now ex) husband told her she should have noticed the crack in the snow.

This feels a little too real She just laughed and laughed and laughed

Greetings Treasured Friends

Didn't weigh today. Just forgot. Not sure if that's good or bad. It just is.

Lovely spring day here. I got out of gallery duty tonight - a nice young person agree to work for me. What an old curmudgeon I have become. Not wanting to be out until 9:30 at night. The truth is I would rather be in my humble comfy home laying on the sofa rather than standing around the art gallery schmoozing.

Hey Ann. buy some ready made crudities, egg salad from the hippy dippy deli and cheese sticks wrapped in ham, none made by me. But yeah, beware of crackers. I ate some last night which were gluten free and made with all kinds of seeds, quinoa and such stuff that I didn't know existed until I was about 50 years old.

And yeah, it must of been National I Cannot Sleep Night last night. I don't wake up early - just can't get to sleep. So I went in the guest room to watch tv. Political talk shows are as good as an ambien.

Peps, as I said on Facebook, that picture of you with the rolling desk made me think of you as Fred Astaire and the desk as Ginger Rogers. But don't go doing any dancing. No dog show lifting for you.

Shel its my brother (not in law) that had the brain surgery. He is amazingly optimistic and feels grateful for what he has and never whines. Need to take a lesson from him.

Sad news in our dinky town. A student was found dead in the high school early this morning. Probably a suicide. Young people are so fragile at times.

Liz glad you had a good night and that DH was settled. So sad for your SIL and family. But be glad your family gets along. So many I know have estranged siblings. Not cool. Naples sounds like fun.

Well, there are dog toenails to be clipped and the frost bitten Princess bush to be pruned. But first - gluten free coffee. Diane S

Ferg has started his new meds and new food. The meds are a challenge as it's a lot to keep track of. Some are once a day, some twice, some with food, others on an empty stomach an hour before he eats. I've made a chart to keep track of it all...

He's so funny, he still wants to play. One of his favorite games is balancing a ball on his paws against his nose, nudging it until it falls. This was this afternoon.

It's crazy to think he's as sick as he is given his good natured and playful self. It makes it somewhat easier in some ways and harder in others. I'm just loving on him and savoring every moment. And who knows, maybe with the treatment he'll surprise us.

Today we go back to pick up another prescription and get the list of supplements the vet wants him to take (taurine and carnitine I believe). They are also taking a blood sample to test for taurine levels.

This morning I did an 8 mile hike, this afternoon an ultrasound on my thyroid, later the vet trip and tonight a modern tap dancing show at our performing arts center. Thankfully, I have almost nothing on tap for this weekend and can hang with Fergie.

Love being sent out to all, but especially Bonnie, Liz, and Devon's back!

Sounds like Ferg needs his very own pill organizer! Love the picture- so soft and cuddly.

He does!! The vet added 3 more pills/supplements (2 twice a day, 1 three times). So. Many. Pill. Pockets.

What a cutie.

I had the same thought about Ferg surprising us. I'm glad he has a stay at home mom that can take care of everything.....so many details!
