You Liz are one of the most positive and resilient people I have come across. Remind me one day to share the story of the donkey and shaking the dirt off - its a ripper (aussie slang for really good)

Sending hugs to you all

So much going on and I have to go to work. Hugs to all.

Peps, you do look fabulous with a rolling elevated desk. I KNOW you were in a lot of pain and I sincerely hope that you are feeling better. But, I couldn't help but think you looked like a happy go lucky guy in a sunny upscale outdoor bar anticipating a fancy drink and a handsome companion. May you have adequate pain relief today!

Extra pets to Fergus and Cecily.

You all do wonders for a boy's ego! Thank you very much.

Here is a less flattering picture, though charming. The little fellow sitting with me is Tommy. He is a special needs kiddo and has had a sore back for a few days. Being a sympatico he had to sit with me during a music rehearsal with ice on his back, too. He is such a nut. I just love him. Get this - on Monday he didn't want to go to PE so he claimed his PE license had expired! Luckily, the PE teacher had just gotten his renewal in the mail that day. Tommy was crest fallen.

I see in this picture a teacher who truely cares n Devon I will say I have so much respect for you - your face x it speaks a thousand words

My eldest is on the spectrum - Ive battled my whole life with all of my 5ft4 - the education dept learnt the hard way to not mess with me - story for another time - took them to equal opportunity and won - then helped other parents to do the same

Wishing you healing and lessening pain x

Pain level this morning is somewhere between a 7 & 8 on a scale from 1-10. I am walking with a cane that I picked up from my dad. I woke up both Ron and myself twice last night yelling out in pain from a little spasm (probably from adjusting in my sleep). Poor Ron! Worries him to no end when I am incapacitated. It's almost as if he gets panicky. And me, I'm thinking, why can't you worry about your own ills the way you do mine? You'd be in much better shape if you did! Anyhow... I will go to the Chiropractor this morning and again this afternoon.

Am supposed to show a dog tomorrow. Not going to happen. I will get the dog there, but that's the best I can do.

I am going to whine like a great big baby - I HATE THIS! I don't do sick well. And feeling fine, but immobile and in pain is just super gosh darn dang it!!!! FRUSTRATING! UGH........

I wish I knew how much muscle I have put on. It would probably help my acceptance level of my scale weight. I think, but may not have mentioned some time ago that I am back at my pre VSG consultation weight (actually a little more). Again, I am leaps and bounds more physically capable than I was 8 years ago and I don't believe my body looks anywhere close to the same as it did then. But the simple fact that the numbers are the same is bothersome.

But, I try my best to keep things in the proper perspective. Above all, I have health. My BP, cholesterol, and glucose levels may all be a tad high, but those are all within my control. My job today will be to focus on healing and to be mindful of all the "I can"-s in my life!

Love and healing thoughts to all who need them (Fergus included! )!

Bonnie 150 this one's for you: Wishing you the world's most boring PET scan. May it be as dull as can be.

This is the best time for self care. Looking through my old lady book I found this quote "All of us can create our own healing packages by thinking about that which makes us feel healthy, calm and happy. We can write our own prescriptions for health that include nutrition and exercise, relationships, things we enjoy and gratitude."

Now I am not saying you can think yourself out of your health problem but worrying won't make it better. Wishing you good test results and peace. Diane S.

Yes to all above. As Carly Simon sang, "...haven't got time for the pain..." I'm doing my best to set aside the worry (waste of time) and concentrate on the joy and doings in the hear an now of the day. Episode 1 gave me some practice in that. Chilling the best I can. Thank you.
