I feel like I only post negative stuff lately. Well, yesterday I had a good day looking in posh shops in Naples (a LOT of money there). I enjoyed looking but didn't spend money except at lunch at a really nice place on the water in Fort Myers beach where I chatted with a woman who competes in equestrian events all over the world (she has been to Dubai with her horses).

To clarify, as I told Shel on yesterday's thread, ill SIL is the one who lives with us in the winter here in Florida and 3 miles away on Cape Cod. She and my other SIL are very close. DH and my children are also very close to her which is why she chose to move so close to us when buying her retirement home. I had been worried about her drinking and weight loss but perhaps she was drowning some pain. But she was doing really well yesterday afternoon and hopefully can go home today. No more news for another week probably and we just need to not get ahead of ourselves. But DS won't talk to me. It is as if he is angry at me for telling him or maybe he is just hurting so much that it hurts to talk to me? He tends to have this immediate anger whenever something really upsetting happens. It apparently is his first stage of grieving.

With all this going on, DH has been in a good and sweet mood. And not too difficult with the nighttime wanderings. It would be nice if it held.

Today is warm and muggy again. No specific plans, but that is probably a good thing. I ordered some new fabric to recover my dining room chair cushions because I thought a last project here before we leave would be good.

Have a fulfilling Friday!

It doesn't sound negative, it sounds like real life. I feel like this is the SIL that I "know" so thank you for clarifying. In all the sad news, what rings thru is that you have a tight knit family. Complicated, yes (like they all are) but bound by love.

It's not negative! It's what's going on in your life. Getting all that stuff out here is a great maintenance tool, you know.

Another vote for not negative! Heavens, this is a safe space to let go of the stuff we used to eat to cope with...
