VSG Maintenance Group

I agree about this incredible group -- it is definitely the best support group I have participated in. And I wasn't so sure about doing it online in the beginning...

Good Morning - up early with DH going back to work in the city. I fell asleep on the couch before 8.00 again last night. Curled into bed when DH woke me and slept pretty well. So have had my sleep
No weight - will tackle that tommorrow
Im back to work full time (well thats the plan anyway) See how my body responds. Drizzling again this am - I have just re-lit the wood fire. Good day to be inside. Library was closed when I took my books back yesterday so I might go after work and choose some more - shall see
This group is totally awesome - Feel very comfortable and supported here Like hanging out with family in a sense. Thank you all x
Ann - Glad you got a little more sleep and good luck with all the work outside today. You will well and truely deserve the home spa afternoon
DD - Will be thinking of you as you attend your Aunts Memorial - hope it brings you some comfort
Peps - Oh thats awful - hope that it subsides soon - be kind to yourself and rest as much as you can
Diane - sorry Noom didnt work out. I didnt join - still being sent the offer emails which I will unsubscribe too. Enjoy being out in the RV - getting it ready for your next adventure
Hello to all that follow - Im off to make a second cup of tea and then shower before I start work for the day

Greetings Noom Naysayers
157.5 today. EEEEk - could be the two choc chip cookies and crackers I ate this weekend. Plus poor potty performance.
Glad to hear the Noom reviews. Sorry it didn't work out but hey, we are better than that.
These last two days we have watched a weird series "Picnic at Hanging Rock". Set at a creepy girls school in Australia at the turn of the century. Very spooky and dark but interesting. So glad I was born in an era free of corsets and little white gloves - well mostly.
Steak last night and more tonight. Gotta take some banking over - the credit union is open Sundays. Then another store trip.
Gallery was uneventful yesterday. Some nice people but hardly any sales. Walked in circles and did puzzles and read my old lady book. When I am finished I will offer gems of wisdom. Also did the homeless outreach yesterday. I go shop for portable protein foods and put them out and I think people are learning to watch for me coming and then go for the goodies. Ladies cook hot food but its tuna casserole and a baked potato bar and chili. Some people are diabetic and need non carbs so I try to bring protein. But I found out one lady was taking the jerky packets and feeding it to her little dog.
Spring has really burst out here. All the cherry trees in Trinidad are approaching peak flowering. Someone asked me what the trees were and I explained how a grant was obtained years ago to plant the town with them. They just flower - no fruit to mess the sidewalks.
I am going to try to attach a picture of the hemp purse and cbd stuff. Then a few errands.
Got a jury summons. I was supposed to report Tuesday but I got an extension until late July.
We are lucky in this backwater town because there is a restaurant supply store that has tons of Torrini syrups and also the DaVincci brand. Like a whole wall. I have some pumpkin pie which is great. Most grocery stores have only a small selection. Of course, if I wanted a ball gown I would be SOL on this entire county unless I wanted it fringed leather.
Ok on to try the picture. Might be separate. Diane S
DianeS, everything about your post tickles me. And no, don't give that dog any more of your good jerky.
You are so cool!
BTW, I live in terror of receiving a jury summons for the local courts. Eleven local jurors and I would be a frighteningly bad mash-up. I dunno who would die first -- them or me.

I have seen you in person and I want to state for the record that you do not look homeless!
Your interest in your local homeless has got be thinking about what I might be able to do for the small group at the base of Tiger mtn. I am inappropriately curious in their lifestyle and how they came to be in that situation. They don't need my nosiness, but (as you have said) they likely could use food.
It isn't like they have a donation bin. The few times I have passed thru, there has been a greeter (for lack of a better word) at the entrance. I assume that person lives there, too, but I don't really know. I suppose I could simply ask. (I am ashamed that I am afraid he is going to say they don't need food but they need xyz and maybe I don't want to give xyz.)
In unrelated news, there was a vacuum just hanging out at the base of Tiger recently. There is not electricity there at all. I don't know the story behind it but it made me think of your Sasquatch raking the forest floor.

That is a cool purse. No wonder you like it.
Sativa is the strain of marijuana (with THC) that doesn't give me the munchies. Trust me. I did the science. I know. But the sativa strain (with THC) does make my brain go a million miles a minute and/or dance all night long with or without partners.
It's the Indica strain that we should never partake of. That's the kind that makes cold, week-old potato soup taste as good as chocolate mousse. Again, trust me. I did the science. I know.
