Woke up at 3:13 this morning. It sounds awful, but it's an hour and a half later than the night before, so it's in the right direction. And Liz - I did NOT take a nap yesterday. :)
Saturday was a good day--weeded and pruned dead branches and even mopped the kitchen floor. Today I'll tackle the great room floor.
However, yesterday's planned mowing was rained out, so I'll be out there early this morning, doing my bit. Today will be sunny, but cool (only 57 degrees by noon), so I'll get jacketed up. The yard guy's also coming over to work some chain-saw magic.
And after all that pollen-rich mowing, I'm planning to take a home spa afternoon and read.
Thank you, DiamondD, for the pumpkin custard recipe. I just found the recipe online here, where Libby has also calculated nutritional macro info. Made with Torani SF syrup, non-fat evaporated milk, and no sugar, a single serving has 90 fewer calories. That's only 60 calories per serving. And it sounds and looks very good!
Today's theme: It's going to be a good day. :)

I'm on the other side of the sleep spectrum, slept in again, and slept so deeply last night.
I hear and smell bacon sizzling from the kitchen. Time to get up and have my latte and read the Sunday paper while that darling man of mine makes breakfast.
Then into the car for the drive to Duluth for my Auntie's memorial. It will be good to see my extended family. My cousin, her son, and I are very close. He has a new granddaughter I am anxious to hold. The circle of life.
It is nice to say "hello" even as there is a good bye. I hope you had a nice visit and hold.

Ack! Bent over putting lotion on my legs and my back spasmed. OMG! The pain.... Got up to go to the bathroom last night and ended up on the floor a couple of times just trying to get to the bathroom. Luckily, I seem to have better mobility this morning. That was pretty brutal. You know, I never throw my back out doing something impressive like moving sacks of gravel or stacking 40 pound bags of dog food. NO! It's things like bending over to pick up socks or put lotion on my legs. Jeez!
Weight is stable.
Must put food in my stomach before popping 800 mg of ibuprofen. Wish I didn't have to, but I truly do! Shel, why do the 400 mg and 800 mg ibuprofen tablets seem to work better than taking a quadruple dose of the 200 mgs? Is there something in the formulary? It makes no sense to me.

Two thumbs down on Noom ! I cancelled my trial membership ! The content is excellent. The constant attempts at being cute and funny become grating. The lure of a personal goal coach , group coach and support coach are false advertising. I quickly became aware that my goal coach was a robot. Interactions were few and far between. Prompts were scripted and responses seemed to follow an algorithm, repeating back what I had said and probing me for further thought. I was disappointed to learn I didn't get my support group or group coach until the end of the third week. The supposed access never happened. For all that money, I LOVE this group, our collective wisdom, the additional resources we are all aware of, and I cancelled my subscription.
Wet snow here, not sticking, amounting to cold rain. I see myself at a tipping point. Going to go work in the RV, and see if I can find some positive mojo.

Diane, thanks for that Noom review. Fascinating!
I'm telling you -- since WLS I've been on WLS message boards, three or four FB secret groups for WLS folks, been to a couple in-person WLS support groups. And I am here to say that y'all and this group are 100 to 10,000 times better than any of those other resources for long-term maintenance issues.
This group is one of the most stable forces in my life.
For realz.
