Fencing is a big deal around here, too. It's never "finished." Damn, those cows. They really do think the grass is greener on the other side.
And I love the photo of your hubby and his mates. He's a cutie!
I also loved Shel's admonition this morning: "Shirl, whatever you're doing, stop it!" Or something like that. :)

They sure do Ann :) But they will be fatty boom ba cows by the time we get back up next weekend and well equipped to feed their demanding calves who are growing like mushrooms
DH is a good looking man - Im a lucky lady
Oh I missed Shels growl - best I go back and look. I can hold up hand and say Im not fencing :) I did go and do some shopping with DH but he did all the heavy stuff and Im about to go to the library to choose some more books as I have read 3 now - a record indeed. Dinners are organised for next 3 or so days so feeling accomplished
DH and DS have brought in the wood and will be collecting rocks later today. Rainy day here - I want to be back at the farm which will likely have clear skies and sunshine :(

Another hot one in Utah! We got out early and when to Padre Canyon in Snow Canyon State Park. So gorgeous!! It was a tough hike that looked like a logarithmic chart: not much elevation to start and then BAM!, 700ft straight up rock scrambling at the end. Here are some pics:
View from part way up looking down. We started at the buildings at the bottom:
View looking up before the last climb. We went to the top:
Me at the top looking out to the next canyon behind with serious hat hair:
Tomorrow we head to Zion, then home Monday. It's been a lovely trip!
Cecily -- the pictures are marvelous. And you are so fit! Glad you've had such a good time there.

Beautiful (you and the rocks)! They remind me a little bit of the red rocks we saw in Colorado this past fall. Our hiking was on mostly flat trails though.
