Good day yesterday - an excellent yoga class, made 10K steps, had a pedicure, finished a lot of undone errands and house chores, and ate well. Water still not at goal, but was one glass more than the day before.
Yesterday's pedicure made my toes look fancy again. Today, I'm getting my hair conditioned and blow-dryed before going to the annual luncheon/fashion show that benefits the local college library.
All these fluffy spa services are part of my $99 monthly spa membership, which I renewed after returning home and for which I receive a ridiculous number of treatments. The membership also provides a 25% discount on other spa services and products. Such a deal! I've scheduled an hour-long massage next week with the spa's masseuse. The regular price for an hour-long massage is $60 (I can hear y'all gasping at that Ozarkian pricing!), but it will cost me only $45 plus tip (I hear more gasps!). I also learned yesterday that they'll give you a glass of wine if you request it.
And now a quick food review: Yesterday's lunch was the Thai version of Mann's Nourish Bowl and was pretty good. It came with an adequate Thai-flavored sauce and a package called "coconut"; I added three ounces of pre-cooked Perdue Heartland grilled skinless chicken breast strips to the mix. Total macros were: 300 calories, 27 carbs, 12 fats, 24 proteins and 9 fiber grams. I'd definitely buy it again. So that's a thumb's up for the Chipotle Chicken and Thai versions of Mann's Nourish Bowls.
Here's another menu idea that's working well for me lately: I've started adding some pre-cooked chicken breast strips to Healthy Choice Steamers with chicken in them, e.g., Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and Chicken Vegetable Stir Fry. The extra chicken marries fine with the steamer ingredients and provides extra protein. The total calories for each meal are still below 300 calories. BTW, all the chicken vendors (Perdue, Tyson, etc.) offer pre-grilled skinless chicken breast strips, but obviously you could also bake or grill chicken breasts yourself. Or you could be lazy efficient like me.
Today's theme: "Hey, everybody, let's have some fun! You only live once, and when you're dead you're done." Let the Good Times Roll. Click the song title for BB's rendition of this rousing anthem.

Thank you for the recommendation on the food. I'm going to try those Mann bowls!
Yesterday was a good beach day. Afterwards I went to what used to be my favorite beach restaurant to get something to eat and couldn't get waited on in 15 minutes! They used to be very efficient but somehow after completing a wonderful remodel their service has gone drastically downhill. So I left and went to another place I had only previously had drinks at and was eating a great crab cake within about 15-20 minutes after arriving. I may give the first one a poor review on TripAdvisor. They need to hear that they are losing patrons (though with the location, maybe they don't care and figure they will be replaced).
Today I am going to get my hair colored and cut. It has gotten so light again that I'm going to talk to her about doing lowlights instead of highlights this time. We will see what happens...
Have a filling Friday!

Quick post from Utah! It's beautiful here. Pictures don't do it justice. We've been around St. George for the first few days. One more here tomorrow then onto Zion for a day. A lot of the big hikes there are closed (landslides, too much water in the Narrows etc), so it's okay to just have a day.
Today was a hike called Candy Cliffs. Gorgeous red and white striped prehistoric reefs than go on forever. The pictures don't do it or the colors justice, you have to see for yourself. The road out is 8 miles of dirt. I couldn't see out the back window after!
Here are some from yesterday hiking out to see the petroglyphs... 21,000 steps yesterday.
Glorious! Really glorious!
BTW, my car looks exactly like that every day. ;)
