My scale has been a bit erratic lately, so this morning I put in new batteries, although afterward the weight was still jumping around a bit (between 141.6 and 142.2). Naturally, I posted here the lower weight. ;) It may be time to buy a new scale, although the thought of doing so makes me nervous.
Yesterday I followed my eating plan, which I'm proud of. After NOLA I'm working hard to align my eating behavior with my intentions. Yoga class was excellent, and I got in all my 10K steps. Water lagged a bit.
I checked off some icky house, gardening and financial chores, ran some errands, and had fun phone visits with a friend and one of my brothers. The weather here turned out to be beautiful, and it was a lovely day out here with the deer, the turkeys and the groundhog.
Today's agenda includes a visit to the dentist visit (cleaning and small fillings) and a run to Walmart. This afternoon I'm getting a facial.
And in the Is Seriously, Is She Kidding? department, thanks to a North Carolina friend who owns a Winnebago Travato (those are small RVs), I've been invited to join a weekend meet-up of about 50 Travato enthusiasts down in the Arkansas Ozarks to a location about 2.5 hours' drive from my house. You may wonder if I'm actually considering buying an $80K RV? Hell, no! Then why go to the meet-up? Because all your glamping stories and my NC friend's enthusiasm about his Travato have stirred my curiosity and, besides, they sound like interesting folks. Stay tuned ... we'll see whether I go to Arkansas or not. :)
Today's theme: Follow my plan. Again.

I thought the six more bags of gravel we picked up yesterday would finish things up, but we'll need four more today. Twenty sixty pound bags... we probably should have had a yard delivered, but I always hate how that pile looks ! Of course I used the edger, so it looks great. It will be sweet pulling in and out without major gyrations !
Today, DC has group and I'll be power walking on base for an hour. I'm rotating between listening to Traveling North and Girl, Wash Your Face, depending on the spirit of the day, with a little music mixed in for good measure. We're bringing our bowling balls, in case we want to bowl afterwards.
Liz, the more people who walk in your shoes, the greater the level of support you will have when you make the final decision about Paul's long term care. I think of you often as I encounter challenges that are nothing like yours. Ann, I love the way you are settling back in at home and I envy the farm equipment you get to ride ! Shirl, I have to agree with Ann, my idea of taking it easy and yours are different, but hey, you did show restraint. BB, how wonderful that everyone was healthy for Easter and that Becca loved her interactions with the bunny ! Diane...glad DH got the charger figured out ! Your suppers always sound so tasty, too ! DD, congratulations on the arrival of spring for you ! Shel, I was thinking of you when I was hefting gravel, and trying to recall the number of pounds you ultimately have to carry. 35 ? Paula, Miss Bonnie & Peps... I am missing your voices.

I'd try out the RV camping! I always wanted to rent one but DH never liked the idea. It would have to be small and manageable if I had to drive it (but with a decent bathroom - LOL).
Night 2 of sleeping most of the night in the den. I'm planning on sleeping in a separate room when we return home so this is the start of it. After BIL leaves, I will use the other bedroom here. This basically means that I get to sleep, but have to be prepared for bathroom/bedroom/bed cleanup in the morning. I suppose that is essentially the same as DH being in memory care in his own room (but there someone else will deal with the cleanup).
Today I am going to Sarasota with friends to poke around in the old part of town and visit a consignment shop called the Women's Exchange. Well to do women donate really nice furniture, clothing, rugs, jewelry, etc. and the sales benefit women in need. It is a huge store with lots of great stuff. Since BIL is here it gives us a longer day since I don't have to be constrained by daycare hours. BIL and DH are either going to the beach or going to burger by the pool day and hanging out at the pool afterwards.
Below are pictures that BIL took at the beach on Monday. DH was sloppy affectionate that day for some reason (he was the opposite yesterday).
Have a wondrous Wednesday!

Let's all buy Travatas! Start Here. Ann, I'll buy one and you can ride shot gun or drive.
Much to do today. I'm trying to embrace this opportunity to get some things done rather than be so overwhelmed I am frozen.
By the way, questioners sometimes don't get things done because they want to do just a little more research. So true in my day to day life. Heck, true on a minute by minute basis. (note to self, google less)
DD, thinking of you today. I am also thinking of the aunts of my life. Honestly such a wonderful collection of women. I just realized I only have one remaining.
Liz, thinking of you, too. I'm glad you are getting out by yourself with BIL there.
Heck, I'm thinking of you all. BB, when does that next one come? Peps, your affection for that Dobie is so obvious -- like you are wearing a suit of hearts.
It is sunny for now, how sweet is that?
Enjoy! Shel

Wow! The Travato website you linked to says: "Starts at $114,500!"
You're definitely buying. :)

Ann, the Travato is seriously small! Fancy, but small. They have "wet baths", which IMO are not the most pleasant. I hope you go, though, and have a fun time. I've heard those get togethers are pretty darn festive. The RV ladies groups really know how to RV right! Google RV women's groups and look at the pics! They are amazing!
Ocean Diane, your schlepping of gravel reminds me that I really do need to make tracks on getting estimates for an RV pad prior to the end of school when Ella is (potentially) due to whelp. I continue to be envious of your apparent Zen abilities.
Shel, glad to know that questioners and obligers both rock procrastination tendencies. Yes, I love that pup. Too bad that was our one and only show together.
Liz, glad you are getting some sleep and, damn! you are TAN, lady! Makes me want a tan, too!
BB, LOVE the pics with Becca and the bunny!
My stars and planets remain unaligned. The past week has been fraught with personal issues - mostly out of my control, and they pale in comparison to spouses who are declining, surgeries, and familial deaths. I have been reading daily and keeping up with what's going on with everyone.
