Weight's up again a bit after yesterday's long drive to and from The Big City. Steps and water were (predicatably) lower. I've decided to knock the calories back down to 1,200 this week. I'm ready to see the scale head down again.
And bam! The second cataract surgery is finally scheduled - two weeks from tomorrow! Bring it on.
Also had a good therapy session yesterday, mostly about "Grieving 2.0" (my term, not his). I'll share that later, but don't have time to do so right now.
Today is yoga class, walking, errands and house cleaning. It'll be raining or dripping most of the day, which is what it should be doing in April.
Today's theme: Follow my plan.

Lots of steps yesterday ! Bed in RV fresh and clean ! Extra sets of clothing and footwear slowly migrating out. Toothbrush next !! Ten sixty pound bags of gravel went down yesterday, and another six today before starting topsoil. DC mowed half the back yard while I weedwacked. I'll finish and weedwack and mow the front today. A bit too much wine on the sunny deck yesterday. Water, water, water today !!

Greetings Tous le Monde!
156 today. Easter indiscretions seems to have moved on.
Whew, OceanD you are the ********l that gravel moved and heavy duty chores done! Good for you.
Ann glad the eye surgery is scheduled. Bet you will love it when its all done.
Its a sunny day so we may well play Scrabble outside. Not my favorite but oh well.
DH has finally straightened out the car charger issue. Its defective and they are sending a new one. Only took him a week to call the company.
My older brother is back to rehab after his brain tumor surgery. I think he is really lonely. Also sick of the rehab place. He was there two months when he broke his leg and now he is stuck there for about 3 more weeks. No fun.
Not much else new here. Dinner last night was shrimp with spinach and sour cream. Everything is better with sour cream.
Take care all. Diane S
Grieving 2.0. Yes, it comes in waves.
I so love reading about BB's young active life. I think you (BB), dissect everything more than I did at your age, but I love hearing it all!
BIL is here - has only annoyed me some, but offered to hang out with me today while DH is at daycare. I said I usually go shopping. Which I did but now am hanging out at a restaurant on the water where I ate lunch (and had somebwine). Now I am sipping water and chilling until I pick up DH.
BIL commented that DH has gone downhill a lot since he saw him at Christmas. Yep! I mentioned my forays to long term care places. He made some comments about his Mom's care, but I said that was different. Only one of her to support and no one after she was gone. Where with us I have to live now and for another 20-30 years. I can tell he is already worried about staying with DH when I go to Aruba. Reality. I told him I will use respite if he can't manage.
Thanks for always listening and supporting!
Have a thoughtful Tuesday!

Good Morning All and belated Happy Easter to you all
Has been a nice break which has allowed family time with DH siblings. Breakfast Good Friday, Afternoon Tea Easter Sunday and Dinner Easter Monday. We hosted breakfast and dinner. DH had a workmate and his wife come stay Good Friday. Was lovely but unfortunately he got vertigo Sat when he woke up and we drove him to the drs for some medication. He was able to continue their journey late afternoon. I packed them 2 full roast dinners and leftover pudding and custard so once they pulled up in the caravan - dinner was a reheat away
DH has been working super hard fencing. Rest of the concrete posts are now in and he has the Ringlock mesh on one side. I made the decision to return to work for half a day yesterday and managed reasonably well. Sitting for 4 hours did take its toll. More of the same today as I have a ton of things to catch up with. Im feeling better each day but still surprised as to how hard this operation ha**** me. I healed far quicker from my VSG! In my head I didnt rate this one even on the same level.
All that being said I have been resting in between moving. Read 2 books - thats a first for years! DH carries the washing basket out for me and I can then hang it - things like that. I did go down and help staple the ringlock to the straining wires yesterday but only the top two runs - the bottom one I wasnt able to get down that low without straining everything internally. Least I contributed which made me feel better. I will finish the last third after lunch so he can continue with the fencing.
Its good to be back and looking forward to some sort of normal as I continue to heal. Will read everyones posts that I have missed over the course of the day

Oh, Shirl! Your version of recovery from surgery is (cough!) different than mine would be. Fence lines would not be in the same paragraph, nor the same month, as my recovery. But I know you know what's best for you and what will make you feel better. So yea!
I also loudly applaud you for reading two books. In the middle of my life I hardly ever got to read. And I love to read so much. I hope you can find a way to continue your reading amidst the very busy rest-of-your-daily-life!
It's good to hear from you! :)
