I've decided that every time I encounter a larger produce array, I am going to find and prepare something I've never tried before. Yesterday's selection was flowering baby bok choy ! Sssoooo yummy ! One of my goals for today is to review the tendencies I am not, and list some of their attributes I might work into my repertoire from time to time. I have to say, not surprised by the questioners and proud to be with my fellow obligers. We haven't found a rebel yet ? He he !
Try Marshall Aeon's Ennegram for more self discovery fun !! Almost triple the categories ! Achiever, Reformer, Helper

Calories 1141. I was shooting for lower but given a difficult night it isn't too bad - I did not visit the kitchen when I couldn't sleep. I did spend a lot of time lying awake trying to figure out how to manage DH when we get back to Cape Cod. The place here works pretty well to contain him at night but it will be a lot more difficult at home.
The news! Notre Dame Cathedral burning (thank god it can be repaired), then the possible threat to Columbine High School by an armed person this morning. The wedding we attended this past fall was across the street from there. I don't think there is much good news to watch these days.
Have a happy Hump Day!

Good morning, Diane and all!
I find myself this morning moving among and amidst the outside as opposed to the inside- having focused much to much energy on pain management regarding a supposedly invisible cracked tooth- which one- the dentist is not sure (two choices-generalized pain). Am on antibiotics and waiting an appt with an endodotetist (sp?). Any ways today I am clear headed and relatively pain free - no longer in zombie land.
Took the survey--Rebel all the way. My answers were honest- however probably based on motivation not intended as the test developers ment- that is- I choose my own way opposed because I probably doubt sometimes an ability to follow through , and internally dread failing follow through on my spoken word. If I speak it out loud will I -can I really do it? So, does that make me, then a closet obliged? Must...find...more...eight balls... to tell me who I really am...
Will check out Aeonn's Ennegram later- thanks for the fun, Diane.
School is a total snore lately as district standardized testing is going on- the upside is that I get to read--Whoop.
I hear DH stirring and am off to have coffee and chat- I haven't been much good company lately. Take care, all- thinking of you, Shirl--rest well and enjoy the down time
. Everything in its own season, right? That has been my takeaway from our little forum of late. Seems we are all experiencing new seasons of experiences- ya?
Today--embrace your season!

Yoga class yesterday morning kicked my butt! I haven't been in a yoga class since mid-February. Yes, I've done a lot of sun salutations, downward dogs, and stretching poses, but that's nothing like having a yoga teacher ask you to do stuff that just makes you shake your head. Needless to say, it is good to be back.
My shaking legs after yoga class are my rationalization for fewer than 5K steps yesterday. Likewise, water was down--water and walking seem to go together, so I'm committing today to 10K steps and 64 ounces of clear water.
So much good food for thought has been offered up here lately. Is it due to springtime stirring up new beginnings for us all?
DiamondD and Miss 150, thanks for the questions about eating approaches and supplements. I like finding out more specifically what others are doing and what works for them. (Questioners can't get too much information, eh?)
Shirl, it does sound like you're treating yourself well as you continue to recover from surgery. It's time to let others take care of their own needs for a while. IMHO, watching Netflix is a great way to invite our minds, souls, and bodies to heal--it takes our minds off pains of all kinds. BTW, my neighbors' fields are full of little black bulls right now, making me think often of your little cutie. I hope he has a lot of fun before he gets to feed y'all. :)
DianeO, thanks again for Rubin's four tendencies inventory and the rest of your Serindipity post yesterday. Your time with your daughter must have been so very precious; that photo shows your great joy in her presence. And how did you cook your flowering bok choy? I spotted bok choy yesterday at Walmart, a rare sighting around here, and wondered what I'd do with it if I succumbed.
Peps, your new way of traveling and being at dog shows sounds like it's working very well. I hope Ella gets to make some new doggy-babies, even though the honeymoon will be brief. BTW, you and DianeO are infecting me with your glamping gear; yesterday I asked a friend to show me the inside of his RV, which is staggeringly fancy! Must not think about that!
Cecily, that's great news from your hematologist! Good for taking care of yourself yesterday. Hugs to sweet Ferg.
Liz, I'm sending you wishes for (finally!) some privacy and you-time now that SIL has gone home. You'll get home just in time for a beautiful Connecticut spring. I think of you so often.
BB, your second pregnancy has gone so well! Great reports from that front. Charlotte's ultrasound pix on FB are precious! Also sending best wishes re your rental properties; I hope you find some nice, dependable tenants.
DianeS, I'm definitely going to have to read Women Rowing North. Good news about your brother's brain surgery. What a thing to go through! As my daddy used to say, "Getting old is not for sissies!"
Miss150Rebel, welcome back from zombie land! Not a pleasant place to dwell for long. I hope that fancy dentist has a good solution for you.
Shel, last night I found myself worrying a bit over your Big Deal that's coming up soon. I feel like we're going to be watching you climb Rainier on our private OHM cam as David Attenborough murmurs, "Now she's entering the zone of giant crevasses, the most dangerous portion of the ascent!" I need to calm down.
And only another few weeks remain before all the schoolteachers are set free! Gosh, summertime will be here before we know it. And then it'll be July 4, and half of 2019 will be gone. Time goes much, much too fast for me these days.
Today's theme: Be here now.

I am very off today. My inner balance (not physical) is just off. I am feeling fragile and raw. This is the feeling that often precedes an emotional burst (what I am thinking today could be my Obliger Rebellion). I read more about the Four Tendencies last night. I am clearly a solid Obliger. Yes, it is knowledge. It is knowledge with which I will work, but right now it is bothersome on an emotional level. I think that coupled with the dog breeding upsets simply have me off.
Anyway, Ella was bred yesterday and the timing should be good, but I never, ever like having a single breeding. I like a minimum of 2 breedings. 4 is even better. Sigh... Fingers crossed for puppies; 8 - 10 would be ideal!
Work is stressful right now, too. I have been out of the classroom all morning in site planning meetings. A board member was present for the meeting and participated - a double edged sword for sure, but a great perk of a smaller district.
Not sure what else to say today other than... onward!
Thinking about you today, Peps. I wish I could say shrug it off but that seems dismissive and counter productive. So I guess all I will say is give yourself grace.
Even though it was not part of the quiz, I found myself wondering how it is that I can hold myself to other goals and yet not weight. Why that disconnect? Some might call it "discipline." I certainly think I'm disciplined in other areas of my life--I took school very seriously. I'd like to thin****ep a nice house. And in general, I'm pretty type-A and organized. So why is food and diet so different? Why can I not seem to do what is needed to get the desired outcome??!!
But I also reject the idea that our weight is any reflection on our worth or our discipline, etc. so maybe that doesn't matter.
Another busy day today. And Becca was tugging on her ears last night and woke up early and cranky today. HOping it's not an ear infection.

Weight... taken. Not the worst, not great
I worked out with the trainer today and am going to Pilates later.
I saw from someone I follow on Instagram that the author who wrote the Keto book and the 21 day sugar detox book also makes meals that fit her programs and ships them frozen. It's not a subscription, you get 10 when you order. I figure I could get 2 meals from each? The calories aren't bad at all. Currently you can get Keto or Paleo meals (all of the Paleo meals are also on the Keto meal list, but two on the Keto list aren't on the Paleo one. They double up on two of them instead). She also tells you which ones are 21 dat sugar detox friendly. I'll let you know how they are.
Ferg's stronger CBD came today. Smells like pot all right! They advise a higher dose for the first week, then a half dose thereafter. The company is the one that teamed up with Cornell University for a dog study so I feel good about the product. I also called the vet so hope to hear from him tomorrow so we can eliminate the limp!
Diane love your veggie idea! I find the older I get, the fewer veggies I seem to like. I thought the reverse was supposed to happen!
Greetings Friends
Late today at 156 due to various commitments. Took Tesla to her breeder or advanced grooming which must be done now to be ready for July shows. Lost Coast kennel Club in Ferndale and Coos Bay KC in Bandon. Peps, are you doing any of these? I will post a pic of svelt looking Tesla.
Hmmm, a new veggie du jour. Good idea. Wish we had some better Asian markets around here. I spoke to a man at an ordinary grocery store the other day and asked whether the green chopped stuff he had was peppers. He told me it was a form of cactus. No clue how to cook it - I should have asked him. There is a mexican grocery not too far away and maybe I should ask them. I used to love the Asian groceries.
Gallery duty tomorrow. Challenge is the bookkeeping on a refund for a $1000 ring that was purchased as an engagement ring but bride didn't like it. So the artist is doing a custom one which is all good, but the guy paid with cash and I am hoping he will accept a check so I don't have to do a large cash bank withdrawal.
So not a bad day for this Questioner. The big question is what is for dinner.. Methinks bacon and eggs. Have precooked costco bacon - the ultimate in laziness.
Spring is here and trees are flowering. Roses budding. Our yard looks like hell. Oh well.
Shrimp and sweet red peppers last night. A personal favorite.
Bonnie 150 you would indeed be the rebel. Yay for rebels.
Rest up Shirley. Accept all help offered. Diane S
