Quick post this morning. It'll be a long day traveling to and running around The Big City. I'll do yoga@home, but don't expect to get in all my steps today. So I'll focus on the water.
Got in all my steps and all my water yesterday. I don't expect with all the driving today I'll make my 10K steps target, so I'll focus on the 8 glasses of water.
No big salad yesterday, but the lunchtime chili (so simple -- lean ground beef, black beans, diced tomatoes, chili seasoning) really hit the spot. Weight's down again (1.6 pounds last week). This is going well, knock on wood.
Wishes to all that today is the Monday you want and the Monday you need.
Today's theme: Make good choices.

Weight 129.8, calories 951. I've been watching what I eat and tracking for two weeks so it was time. That was before potty so maybe it is really a bit lower but at least it is under 130. This means I was right about the freshman 15, as I must have been about 135 when I stopped my binge. I'm not sure if I'm going to weigh weekly or once every two weeks, but I definitely need to avoid the daily ups and downs right now as I did when losing immediately after my VSG.
SIL leaves tomorrow so today we do the last things she wanted to do. I believe that includes some gift store shopping, lunch at our favorite local laid-back spot on the water and dinner out at a nice spot also on the water. I guess I'd better pre-plan what I'm ordering!
DH slept super heavy last night with NO bathroom trips and only one or two times getting out of bed. I changed the timing on some of his meds, so that might be why or perhaps the exhaustion from the prior difficult nights. Whatever - I'll take it!
Have a more than good Monday! Her is a collage of some Justice pics I was having fun with:

Good show, Liz, for getting on those scales. That was scary for me, too, but I'm glad "the first time" is over. :)

I had a fabulous time in NYC !! The Shape Womens Half Marathon was so exciting and watching my daughter run up that final hill and cross the finish line was priceless ! I couldn't have dreamed of a better weekend together !! On Saturday, we did a lot of walking in Brooklyn and went bowling at an antique alley near Domino Park. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful all weekend. I am pleased with my efforts to resist joining her in her carb loading, in preparation for a 13.1 mile race. Linz hit her personal best, 2hrs 8 min.
After loads of cool conversation, I have followed in DD's footsteps and joined Noom, to continue the head work I need to maintain successfully. I am so envious of all of your trainers, coaches, and therapists... that's a missing piece of my self care, and I filled it. MFP and Noom also talk to each other, so that's a logging plus ! I'm also back to wearing my Fitbit !!

How wonderful that you had such a great weekend with your daughter! You deserved that!

What a wonderful memory maker for both you and DD!
I'll be interested in your thoughts on Noom. I hear it advertised and am intrigued. I love that it is connected to MFP.

Morning, Mates!
I worry that I might run out of coffee and have to get up to get more. So, I have two cups next to me.
Liz and Ann, you both are doing great at trimming back! My hiking pants are getting looser but not to usual. My challenge is to adjust my eating on my work days after weekend hiking eats.
In 2018, REI had its best financial year ever, no doubt driven by my hiking/Rainier purchases. I like them so much I don't even care.
Yesterday, I spread more cash around. I belatedly, and foolishly, didn't realize that Mt St Helens' might require crampons in late May. Crampons require boots that accept crampons. Me to sales guy: "I am willing to pay more ease of use." Hundreds of dollars later, I have boots and crampons. Plus, a new fleece, just cuz. Nordstrom misses me, I am sure.
Note to self: buy a different outdoor girl pee funnel thing and start practicing.
Ok, back to Monday, off to work!
Take care, all! Shel

I adore all your new purchases. Nordstrom can wait.
I would also appreciate your bottom-line cough recommendation for a girl pee funnel things. I plan to actually HIKE this summer.
Oh, and I spent yesterday afternoon reviewing all the summer U. of Iowa writing workshops. Will be talking to them this week. I had not realized until yesterday that the summer workshops are so plentiful and spread over such a long time. I think I can do one or two this summer. Thanks for the nudge.
