It is so sad that our appliances have to end up being disposable. What is hot packing btw?

Boy oh boy! Sounds like my last November, December, and January! Ugh.
Remember my "boiled egg" treatment (right size, stays hot longer). (Wrap boiled egg in a damp bathcloth.)

Whoa! The cookie stores near college campuses are a small business owner's bird's nest on the ground! Guaranteed high sales. Better than a McDonald's franchise!
They should double down and also sell marijuana!

I did it. You did it. We all did it. Most of us survived it.
BTW, has she made a decision yet about where to go?

Fun Friday to everyone!
Okay, the book has yet to hit my circle of friends. I think I will ask my aunt if she has read it. My guess is that if she has, she will echo Ann's opinion. My auntie does not like trite crap. She lived in Montgomery, Alabama from the late 50s until the mid 70s. She was acquainted with both Governor Wallace and Dr. King. The governor she tolerated. The Dr. she admired immensely. She'll tell it like it is about this Crawdad book!
I took the dog show van in for a little service - oil change, etc... Of course, the dealership has called and said they want to do this and that. Send me a quote, say I. Oh, okay. Still no quote. LOL! Bad part is that I ordered extendable side view mirrors to accommodate hauling the trailer that can not be installed. They are the wrong size. Boooo. Amazon has them listed as fitting my van. Hopefully, I can convince Amazon to take them back. They were not cheap.
Okay.... on the health and eating front this fine Friday. (Actually it's cloudy with intermittent rain, so not my idea of fine, really.)
I am down another pound today. No particular reason other than perhaps the work on reducing sugar/carb intake. The prep is going well. Most of it is mental stuff, but also preparing the environment. In doing that I noticed Ron is getting uptight about the lack of "choice" in the fridge and cupboard. My gradual clean out seems to have him on edge, but he swears sugar and carbs are not an issue for him at all. I have often thought he simply doesn't quite understand what no sugar, low carb really means. Talking with our trainer today, she agreed that she doesn't think he really understands the whole dynamics of managing macros or how many carbs he really eats per day. That made me feel a little less "alone".
I tried something different today. I had a training session at 11:30 am because I'm on spring break. I stayed fasted until just before the workout. I drank coffee and water, but that was it all morning. About 15 minutes before the workout I had about a TBS of old fashioned peanut butter. Then off I went to the gym for an hour workout. Gotta say, that's a kick way of working out. Nothing in the tummy except that bit of PB ramped up the workout. After doing power level weight, I was still able to do 4-5 sets of all the sculpting level moves. I am hoping my biceps forgive me and choose not to pay me back tomorrow! Interestingly, after my "fat" day on Tuesday, today was a "damn, you look good in the mirror" day as I watched myself kick out 30 squats as a warm up. I figure with the work I'm doing, by the time I am down to the weight I wish to be, I'll be pretty damn defined! Fingers crossed.
I have shared that I am sooooooo not a morning person. To me that means sleeping until 6:30, getting up, getting ready, tending to the dogs and then leaving no later than 7:30, though I should leave at 7:20. I have developed a habit of making and eating a piece of Ezekiel bread with PB and sugar free jam to eat either in the car or once I'm at school. I do my best to not eat in the car, though sometimes I just go ahead and eat in the car if the traffic is bad and I know I will be pressed for time when I get to school. (Okay, I know, bad habit.... but hey, I'm honest.) I need to set up a routine for a healthy, filling, and satisfying breakfast. I'm thinking something that can be made ahead of time and grabbed each morning.
Well, I'm off to groom Liza. Won't take too long as I've been keeping up her grooming. Her big girl debut show is next weekend. 4 days of shows in Sacramento. My favorite part of that weekend is going to be leaving with Lucky in my van. He's coming home! I'm so happy. Hope he and Ace are still buddies. They are both at the age where bravado and machismo is quite important to them. Fingers crossed. Daddy Devon will probably have to lay down the law, but that's okay. It's what dads do!
