Supah Sunday to you all! 3/31
Good morning!
Going back to work tomorrow will be brutal. I haven't been waking up naturally at my usual early time. It is good to be home but I look at the floors and surfaces and see that I need to do some housecleaning today.
But, first....training hikes! I think (no promises) that I can now tell a Douglas fir from a redwood now by bark and needles.
I definitely know I am back in the Cascades. The first pic below is in the CA Redwoods. Notice the soft, almost springy path that pampers the feet. There are a few roots, sure, but they are easily avoided.
The second pic was taken yesterday in the Cascades when I was feeling exasperated with the trail. One can not escape the rocks. This trail pummels the feet. Mostly, I feel (very!) satisfied if I maintain balance. But, after a few days of Redwood trails, this trail pummeled my feet.
I'll be back at it today. By next week, there will be enough snow melt that another trail will be safe enough to use as a long, steep training hike. It is just as pokey, tho.
Have an awesome day. Advise from a nutrition podcast yesterday "Do better today. Your mind is making up perfect." This made me think of DD's "don't let perfect get in the way of good"

Good day back at'cha, all! 33 sunny degrees out- cold, but hey---SUN! Shel, that rocky path--my knees and ankles are horrified!! You surely must be part mountain goat (in the best way). I bow in your general direction!
I respond well to a little bit of structure and almost welcome a return to it. Hope your transition tomorrow goes well.

It is a lazy day here today other than walking the dog and doing laundry. It is currently 80, sunny and a little breezy at 4 pm. We did spend a couple of hours at the pool and are going out to eat at a waterfront restaurant for SIL's last night. It is sad to see her leave, but I feel like I've been in vacation mode which certainly hasn't helped me buckle down on my eating. I need to go full-force tomorrow (today has been fairly good so far).
Have that Supah Sunday!

Thank you Shirl. I need to drop 10-15 though...

Your posted range is 115-118. Unless you have packed on 8+ pounds in a few short weeks (which I highly doubt), you really only have 8-10 pounds to lose.
Take it from a highly skilled self loather; don't go down that path. You have a lot on your plate. Not only do you have DH to care for, but you are constantly entertaining one relative or another. Be kind to yourself and understand that the current eating is not bad. It is serving a purpose. Hugs!
Well, I was up by 5 when we got here (acquired last summer and fall). I've added another 5-10 for sure because some of my clothes are just too tight. I'm afraid to weigh until I'm back on the wagon for a bit. I think I basically have the freshman 15 (LOL sort of...).
