Sorry to say, but law enforcement tends to be reluctant when it comes to "family matters". Next time you are forced to shop--take a hold of the shopping cart, make a bee line to the freezer section, and start piling all kinds of Pepperidge Farm frozen layer cakes, boxes of ice cream, and, hell- throw in a full fat Key lime pie in the basket. Chances are you may mortify and frighten you mom (never take an alcoholic into a bar-or foodie addict into a grocery thinking) and she will leave you behind from there on.
Good Morning All, Sorry I didnt make it here yesterday. Back at the farm and waiting n watching our cows. Biggest one looks like she will be first but shes had 2 calves before so Im confident she will be ok. Then the other girls. They are currently munching through a bale of hay for breakfast - Ive taken to feeding them twice daily as there is virtually no feed in their paddock.
Just work planned for today. Then I will make a big pork Roast as DH is coming up after meetings. Will ask SIL's too - so likely will be 8 or so for dinner. Full house (or shed) is a happy one
Diane - So happy you are having a wonderful trip. Yes it is exciting re new challenges. I am adding a picture of one of my mine. I had to tow our Stock crate up Monday night in the dark. Its HUGE and barely fits in the lines. I am a nervous tower after loosing a wheel at 100km on our dog trailer. That was an experience I dont wish to repeat ! I think its good to always challenge what you believe you are capable of - experience has taught - there is always more and we surprise ourselves
Shel - sounds like you are having a hoot with your parents - I will send a search party to unkidnap you now - may take a while though - coming from Australia
Liz- Sorry you had a bad night with Paul. Hoping the distraction of your other SIL coming helps a little. Glad you are putting him in day care so you can get some downtime. You are so strong x
Hello to all those who come by later - Im going back to read yesterdays posts now
Shirley :)
Greetings My pretties
No weight today. Forgot. Plus I came down with some kind of cold last night and this morning it was raging. Felt like I was beaten with a baseball bat. Feeling a little better now with cold pills and advil. So I am staying home today in my jammies like a beached whale and drinking mild as comfort food. DH was kind enough to go get the good kind of cold pills as I could not find any anywhere though I know they are around.
Yep OceanD, you do need a wet suit. Hope you can get one so your kayaking continues. Lots of people sea kayak around here. Water is super cold here. I am afraid to try it. Also afraid to cross a crevice or summit any mountain taller than me.
Ha Shel, kidnapped and forced to comparatively shop for cabbage. A cost benefit analysis needs to be done for visiting multiple cabbage outlets.
Liz, hoping you get through the death of DD anniversary without too much discomfort. I am so glad you are making use of the adult day care. And going to Aruba.
I missed a studio meeting with the insurance agent today due to being sick. I fear things are bolixed up now. Will have to check into it further when I am back in the swing.
Take care all. Diane S
I myself have a rather healthy fear of rattlesnakes and alligators. Something about their primitive reptilian brains that unnerves me. As a 12 year old I swam in a lake in Virginia Beach. It was not until after I swam in the lake that I was told by my friend that Cotton Mouth snakes were regular swimmers in the lake, too. Ewwwwww! But, I have knowingly skinny dipped in ponds in upstate NY known to have snapping turtles. Where is the logic there? LOL! I would not hike over Shel's crevasses, but think the zip line in Wales looks extraordinarily fun! We all have our things.
Food has been much better today. I've felt like a normal eater today instead of a carb-o-holic. I have to push myself to get my sh*t together and stock the house with some decent food. Luckily, we have enough good protein for tonight, but I'm really shy on salad makings and vegetables. The only fruit in the house currently are Ron's bananas.
Including two pictures of my handsome boy Lucky taken in Kentucky this past weekend. He is truly becoming my heart dog! So much like his grandfather Jackson!
Okay, Ann, where the hell are you?
