Hey, did anyone notice that I had the wrong date on Friday (had 3/25 instead of 3/15). It threw me for a minute because I didn't think we were that far into March!

Later today and tomorrow will be rainy which will remove the humidity and drop the temperature. Looks like we have another long great weather spell after that, just in time for other SIL's arrival tomorrow evening.

We went to the local outdoor art festival yesterday and saw some great stuff, but boy was it hot! I have a couple of prints to frame and my friend gave me an original by her artist sister for my birthday!

Today is paperwork mostly. Have a marvelous Monday!

146.8 HEEEWAAAH! Posting for accountability and a platform from which to dive gladly into the refreshing deep, cool waters of sane and responsible food choices and portions. Up 11#s since August (most of it since the beginning of February). I can pack it on mighty fast.

The good news (so far as I know) is that raw carrots and zucchini spears-peeled -may well be back in my diet. There is no reason other than head hunger and cravings to be eating other than as I was pre-surgery- so there. Now the hard part-

  1. Getting through the carb detox. 2. Returning to portion control. No issue there with the proteins, but my lust for large dollops of peanut butters and cheeses and dressing is way out of hand. 3. A return to outside activity and long, refreshing walks--YAY Spring!

There, I've said it- time to make it so.

When I put my food sanity on the back burner the rest of my life goes on hold and grinds to a perfect halt. I join you, Liz, in the paperwork arena and am off to draw up long lists of neglected chores and projects.

It's all good- it is always good every day whether or if we recognize it as such or not. Smiles.

I like looking at, and hearing, water but when I am on it there is an undercurrent (ha!) of ?how long before I can get off?? I have always felt that, even as a kid on my GRandpa?s fishing boat on MN lakes.

So interesting about what sings to our soul.

No wonder you live where you do although I wouldn?t blame you for looking for a home in Southern states in winter!

Nothing like flying to make you feel tiny. I waved away the snack. I have goals. I have a permit for my St. Helens on May 22. Me and 499 others. My hikes before then will be done fasted to promote fat adaptation. I don?t get hungry on hikes tho I am envious of those around. On mt saint helens I will practice eating snacks!

It was quite a scene at the top of mt si this weekend. I always think we look like monkeys on a National Geographic documentary. One day there was a small guitar player. Everyone was oozing joy. There is something about the early sunny days of spring that puts people in a good mood.

Tmi but I paid for internet and am ULTRA caffeinated so here we go. I am beginning to track poop cycles with the hopes there will be NO POOPING on summit day. First of all, you have to carry out?-gross but decades with dogs makes me practiced. But, if you have to poop when you are roped up, you have to do it while on the rope with everyone else right there! I must control my poop to avoid this!

Yeah that you got in for Mt St Helens! After he did it, DH said it wasn't like any other hike he had ever been on. He said that walking on ash was incredibly slippery - like snow, maybe sand but different. And it got in everywhere so he had to cover up everything! It was definitely the most thrilling climb he ever made - he had climbed most of the higher mountains in New Hampshire by then.

So much to learn! Perhaps a dumb question, but do climbers ever wear diapers for pooping emergencies? I guess there are lots of places one could have a pooping emergency, like in NYC desperately seeking a public restroom, in a kayak in the middle of the lake...I'd better just put this topic out of my mind...
