Hey friends, quick fly by!

137.something. I would like to be 125-130 ideally but I'm not doing much to make that happen!

Trying to navigate life takes up so much of my time and energy. Between work and kids and household responsibilities as head of the household without a partner and trying to figure out the ifs, hows and whens of blending 2 families together, I am exhausted!

Been snowshoeing a few times, only way to survive the biotch of a winter we are having. Actually, a tropical retreat would have helped considerably but that didn't happen. Have to live vicariously through you who are actually doing it!

Right now I'm in the process of house hunting and car shopping for DS#3. He has Ben's old car but at 6' 1" and over 250 lbs., he is just too big for the little Honda Accord. His poor knees almost hit the dash even with the seat all the way back and his head almost hits the roof.

I read bits and pieces of this thread often, but have taken on more of a lurker status. Sorry!

Good Morning All - MIA over the weekend. Hospital half day done and will see the specialist this afternoon - crossing fingers for a suggestion/resolution....

Pretty good weekend once hospital was done. Did some more holiday booking and planning. Have settled on Indian Territory helicopter flight over n in Grand Canyon - 7.5 hrs with multiple drops into the Canyon. We will do the skywalk too. Its crazy expensive (our $ is performing badly atm) but will be worth it. Also booked a Vegas nights helicopter trip - for 3 of us. Will fly over the strip at 8.30pm the night we arrive in Vegas. What a way to start a trip there

Went for lunch at DS and his gf's yesterday - their last day of house sitting. We took Lamb Chops and baked potatos plus lots more. Yes Im a feeder. Had a great lunch with them - my mum and other DS came too. Then a swim in the pool. Home and popped over to the neighbours - ended up popping home and grabbed fixings for dinner - fed them - they have a young baby and where having one of those days so nice to be able to help out a little. Tis amazing what you can rustle up from the fridge and freezer. Even had preserved cherries and ice cream for dessert.

Have specialist apt today - then will take my mum to dinner before we drive up to the farm. Shes staying with us this week. Hoping the cows calf as it would be magical for her to see it

I will try and read weekend posts soon - running around trying to get organised as I will be at the farm for the next fortnight. Always lots to do

Shel - have a great trip :)

Diane - sounds like you are relaxed and wishing your holiday isnt coming to an end. So nice to see

DD, Cec, Paula - hi

Liz - Happy Belated birthday :)

Well I best keep moving - have a wonderful evening all

Greetings All

No weight, back from the dog shows. No success for Tesla. We think her coat was just too shaggy but she showed well. We also visited the eye clinic and her eyes were certified free of heredity diseases. Its important to do this before any breeding and it takes a veterninay specialist to do this so all good there. We had fun but boy am I tired. Tesla had to be carried up the stairs at the motel as they were the kind with no backs to them

Anyway it will take me awhile to catch up here. Shel, was there flooding on your Iowa trip? Horror stories about flooding in Omaha where I am from.

I did ok eating on this trip. Chinese food but reasonable amounts and mostly chicken. A breakfast burrito today. Got lots of steps in so feeling good. We also shopped outlet malls and I got a bunch of much needed stuff.

So back to normal tomorrow. Good weather all around. Cheers to all. Diane S

There has been terrible flooding in Iowa. I leave tomorrow for Iowa, I switched to a window seat so I can get a view of the Missouri River. My first night in Trinidad is the 25th.

Don't ya hate it when things don't go quite right for your kid? But, good news about the eyes.
