I am not a happy camper! I was coughing this morning when I first got up and tweaked my lower back. The small of my back is sore and I feel crooked. I'm guessing I have a slight spasm. Ibuprofen looks to be in my future. Darn it! And after such a great workout yesterday, too. Drat, Drat, DRAT!

As for excuses.... I made a lovely breakfast and lunch for today. But oh, oh, oh... the kindergarten team made a delicious breakfast. There were egg casseroles, quiches, apple walnut breakfast bundt cakes, doughnuts, juices, and for heaven's sake, chocolate of all things! I used the availability excuse. Casserole and breakfast sweets have gone down the gullet. Now I want to sleep....

Good Morning All

Slower morning this am. Still in PJ's and sipping second cup of tea - will go to SIL's shortly to let everything out. They are coming home today for the weekend so I get a break from care duties. Will have to water all our trees tonight before I leave for city house tommorrow after work as we are heating up again this weekend

Liz - so great to see you back. You have been missed. So glad you are having a great time with your family :)

Shel - Its hard isnt it - I have had ppl say they didnt realise I weighed that much etc etc - but the general comment is I look so much healthier now - translating to I looked terrible before. I know its meant to be a kind thing in their minds when said but it does mess with your head. Somehow like you magically were a lesser person when bigger. I feel for you having to sit across from them to treat them without showing the emotional and pain that would be there. You are a strong lady

BB - You are doing great and it sounds like you have a gem in Rich

Cec - Hope fergus is feeling better soon. Good boy for getting you up and going outside - easier to clean up out there. Get some rest today

Diane S - Your trip will be here before you know it :)

Peps - I read your post pre food and yum - well at least the egg casserole and quiche. Im thankfully not a sweet tooth for brekkie. Hope the back stretches out and releases soon

Well I best get my butt moving - tea is nearly finished, throw on some clothes and head to SIL to let out her chooks n ducks then feed our mumma cows some hay - they moooooooooooooo everytime they see me and come running. I am a food truck in human form.

Thanks Shel - sadly no :( I have to go into Hospital for a half day of tests on Saturday hence the return to the city. I do however plan on doing very little Saturday as I expect I will be rather uncomfy when all is finished

Tucked into bed, getting ready to sleep. Why do people feel so free to speak about our weight/size. I don't get so many comments anymore, but I remember I hated that attention when I was losing. Wow, you look great! Me warmly, thank you. How are you doing it, more warmth, a complete lifestyle change. (Unless questioner could actually benefit from discussion about WLS). How much have you lost? Me: A lot! But how much? Me: I'm not comfortable saying. Really? Me: yes. But you should be so proud! Me: thank you.

WLS taught me about my right to boundaries. My DH wanted me to respond with nonsensical answers like how are you doing it? I eat two oranges at precisely 3 pm. How much have you lost? Somewhere between 20-30 pounds and watch their confused expressions.
