I do not understand why I can leave sugar alone for large swathes of time, and then suddenly it's impossible. I am enjoying what I'm eating now, but taking it one day at a time.

I too am wondering where some of our group has gone off to. I admit I worry. A post to say I'm needing to step away etc. would ease a worried mind, I'm just saying. :)

Hoping my musings had the effect of getting people to post. Warning, they will become more obnoxious and incendiary as time goes by! LOL

Peps my dog show obedience friends used to talk about needing dog shows anonymous. And how our dogs would look at the checkbook for show entries and then completely start f-iing up everything! We used to joke about making our checks payable to Onofrio Dry Cleaners. It was a big deal when entries jumped to $15! I figured my first UD title cost $1500. Hardly a weekend now.

Have fun in Louisville. Diane

Well guess what. At about 4 pm I discovered I had my LL Bean stretch pants on backwards. Bet the wad of bulging kleenex in one pocket looked great. ds

Haha! One time we were wearing matching t shirts for some cause, but mine didn't quite look like everyone's. Around lunchtime I discovered I was wearing it backwards.

I, too, feel big hole in my life from our missing friends. Checking in here and catching up with everyone means so much to me. You all make me think and grow, enhancing my life in so many ways. Diane, I loved your take on where our missing friends might be ! I know this isn't the thread with Shirl's question, but I know we'll have the RV out for the first two weeks in September, but I would try my best to fly out for a meet up.

I don't have a scale with me for these two weeks and I'm not obsessing. I have to smile at the stark difference between my many previous trips to this area pre VSG and this one, my first return post VSG. Previously, food choices eating out revolved around hush puppies, fried sea food, decadent desserts, bakery delights, and hitting every waffle House possible. Visits to the grocery store were all about munchies, soda, and ice cream. This time, broiled or fried seafood augment my ahi. I haven't had a hush puppy or dessert yet, and having stayed out of sugar, am not craving sweets. Our refrigerator holds bottled water, eggs, fruits and wide array of vegetables to build supper salads from mid-day meal left overs. My mental focus is on physical activity , recreation, and spiritual growth, as opposed to finding a chair to park my MO body for a day of reading, snacking and sunning. My healthy lifestyle permeates everything, and I am so grateful !!
