142.6

Good morning, all and sundry fellow earth travelers (as well as any out there, myself included, that are from "out there", but not saying)...

I just now finished reading the tail end of yesterday's Joys of Womwnhood topic, and send wishes for relief and especially MODERATION in uterine function your way. My uterus (as well as its self contained cancerous freeloading friend) and I have parted company, and while it gave me much grief all those years in residence, I every once and a while look through that and reflect on the experience it provided me. I am not one to wish that I re-live any part of my life's experiences (been ther-done that-survived) given the choice, I think I might jump on the chance to do a baby again.

The carb demon is slowly disappearing- only to be replace by- well- everything else-nuts, dressings, apples, yogurt cream, cheese-you name it. My appetite has returned with a vengeance. I'm thinking those 20 lbs lost were probably due to my sick pancreas. They were not intended. I'm still about 8 #s under my goal weight, but know how easy that upward swing can move-- Got to get this new normal figured out.

The sun is shining and I'm off to the shower and Church. Have a relaxed and blessed day, all ! Smiles

Weight 125.8, calories 1426. Another day in the sun. No pool or beach yesterday (too hot and muggy), so we poked around stores a bit. Today's plans are unknown.

Nice to see you and hear that you are recovering (though not that the carb demon has returned). I'm really struggling with staying away from those carbs myself, though I'm really not hungry when I eat my planned food. I just WANT those carbs. I do best when busy and not depressed. Hmmm... I need to figure out how to cope when in those states too.

My uterus only gave me one child by birth, then caused me much anguish. So menopause was super welcome.

Have a safe Sunday!

Supah Sunday to you all!

I feel like a groundhog: I stepped outside and can tell the season has shifted.

Shirl, you are a giving person! If you visited me, I'm pretty sure you would schedule time to come back because I clearly need a little help. :). Is it weird for me to ask when you are going to be in Vegas? I'm thinking that others might be curious, too.

B150, way back when, there was someone in a WW meeting that told me that the first time she did WW, she thought it was AMAZINGLY easy. (She was just overweight, not MO). Then, she found out she had CA. I always get worried when people tell me that their weight is going down without much effort. I am so happy that your issue was found and then corrected. Are you tolerating food ok these days?

Best wishes for a fab day!

Shel

Yah-by the end of July-early August I had reached my goal weight. By "unintentional". I guess I mean that I wasn't actively trying to lose more weight and was happy to see some trending down as a buffer. It wasn't until October that my body went noticeably thinner than it needed to.

Food wise- some of that is still mystery space theatre- haven't yet graduated to many nonsoluable fiber veggies and none taken raw at all. Apples are ok and blueberries for fruit. Easy to eat, which is the problem with the whole carb thing. Anything made with/consisting of white carbs is easy-no-brain food. Slippery stuff-gut friendly. The good for me protein and veggies are often problematic-and take effort--strange. It is all a work in progress- one of thes days, food and I will find a healthy relationship and again become friends.

Aww thanks Shel - Im happiest when helping others - makes my heart sing

DH and I arrive in LA 4th Sept and leave 30th Sept from LAX again. Planning to spend time in Cali, Joshua Tree National Park, Las Vegas, San Fran and Lake Tahoe in that time. I would love to arrange a catch up with those who would like to come meet me - can be reasonably flexiable between Cali and Vegas - San Fran n Tahoe we will be staying with a friend. She may join us in Vegas also

Nothing firmly planned - the flights are booked and my leave is approved so thats a start :)

Are you close to either LA or Vegas?

I am close to San Francisco (about 30 miles). Diane S. is closest to SF, too, though several hours away. Cecily is closest to LA. Shel, however, is quite far to the north near Seattle, which is about an 18 hour drive from me, so a full 24+ hour drive to LA. I think that's it for us West Coasters.

SF is always doable for us (unless the 101 gets closed) but its a 5-6 hour drive. Las Vegas is two plane rides but doable. DH loves Las Vegas. ds

Thanks Peps - I try to figure where everyone is but its hard to track

Putting it out there that I would love to meet any/all of you that could make it to a pre-defined spot whilst I was over there

Food for thought :)

I'm all for a meet up! Is your trip September of 2019 or 2020?
