It does have progesterone in it (it's a Mirena). I've been okay the last few months with it because it was lighter even though the periods were twice as long and closer together. But now twice as long currently day 11), closer together (2 weeks after the end of the last one) and as bad as before starting day 10? So wrong!!!! Sigh. I can handle some inconvenience, but this life haging to be put on hold nonsense is seriously maddening. Hopefully this is a one-off, but I'm not in an optimistic frame of mind right now...

OMG, that is horrible! I was on Mirena. I have to admit I did not experience anything like you described.

I may just have to do ablation. It's not like I'm going to try to have a baby at 47! Burn it down! Burn it all down!

Oh I hate to bring this up, but my daughter had her endometriosis stabilized and then she lowcarbed. She had a period from hell again. My daughter learned there may be a connection.

Oh dear, that's helpful to know, thank you! I am also wondering if maybe it fell out as I can't feel the strings. Worth a trip to the gym to check. If it's still there, maybe a diet change is in order...

Afternoon All - finally made it here - DH has just been picked up by the driver and is on the way to airport - Hes working in Queensland this week. We had a big day yesterday - left home at 7am and back after 10.30pm. His son and partner where moving so we went to help. My DSS was working so DH and I had to basically pack and load the trailer in between nursing our grandson. Finally finished at around 2.30pm and headed up to visit his daughter and her partner. Left there around 7.20pm and headed the 3+ hours home. We are going to stay with his daughter next week and help them start to renovate their house as they hope to have it on the market within the next 6 months. After seeing it yesterday, I think we will be spending a fair bit of time there helping.

DH and I went to the mall today and bought them a new Doona (quilt) 4 pillows, sheet set and covers etc for their spare bed. Will wa**** all and take up for when we go stay next weekend as they dont have one. Its his daughters birthday Thursday and she has taken sunday off work to spend time with us - so looking forward to that. Also managed to finished scrubbing the laundry walls and ceiling - I needed DH to move the washing machine and extra fridge. Looks so much better in there now

I am out in sympathy with you Cec. I had IUD but in Friday and that coupled with the ademonysis - I have been eating pain killers but had to push through helping kids move etc. The joys of being a women - over it ! I hope yours improves very soon doll. They are hopeful this will improve my issues till I get into Menopause which I must say cant come quick enough !!! My other option was to push to "evict a bad tenant" as Im 50 this year and there will DEFINATELY be no other babies for this old duck.

Enjoying the peace and quiet of having the house to myself. Just had a late lunch and I will potter for the rest of the day. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend
