So far, so good with the keto. Absolutely can see it might not be everybody's cup of tea. I'm liking it so far. When I stop eating sugar, I stop gaining, and maybe lose ever so slowly. Taking out even more carbs seems to speed up the losses.

Here's what I've eaten so far:

1/2 an avocado

Cottage cheese and some raspberries

Fair life milk

My own concoction I'm calling cabbage goulosh (cabbage, hamburger, tomato, onions, bacon, garlic)

Some olives, cheese and hard salami

Taco salad (meat, cheese, tomato, lettuce, sour cream)

I plan on having a sf Greek yogurt with walnuts for a snack.

I feel nicely satisfied with small portions. Not saying what happens tomorrow, or the day after: One day at a time.

Trying not to let perfect be the enemy of good. :)

142.0

Have been following the daily threads with great interest-much seems to resonate with my current state of being.

I'm happy to say I can do 50% of as many pushups asked of me. Unfortunately, the 50% I can do is the down-stroke of them. I honestly think it near impossible at this point to complete even one up-stroke.

Shel- I, too have gateway foods that lead to madness and eating mayhem. They come in the forms of breads and crackers. Am in my 2nd day of carb detox and spect to have the Hebbie-jeebies for another few days until the carbs leave my system. The scales rightly reflect my recent disregard for right eating.

Imagine my surprise to see the Pride post! I thought that whole project had died a quiet death on some OH desktop. I had been in regular communication, and sometime last summer had submitted what I considered to be a Very rough draft/unorganized ideas with the expectation of it being returned with notes for further refinement. That was the last I heard anything about it--figured OH changed their mind about it all. While many of the main ideas are mine, and I can pick out my "voice" here and there, the actual word by word organization is not. Hmmmmmm.

Ooh, interesting about the article. I would think if they were going to put your name on it, you'd get to approve the final product!

Yah, the article is somewhat more like, "My Thoughts", by (me) and some ghost writer- or perhaps just heavily edited. In the end, as always, it's all good.

Well, I thought it was extremely well written and so totally honest! But it is weird that they didn't double-check if you made it clear it was a draft. And they made changes to it without your okay??? That doesn't seem right

I wrote one of those weight loss articles about a year ago, but didn't send it until it was final. They didn't change it but also didn't tell me when it would be published though so I was surprised when others mentioned it.
